After featuring as a Kuwaiti damsel in distress in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Airlift, Brit actress Feryna Wazheir is gearing up for an international film alongside Irrfan Khan.
Directed by Hammad Khan, the project is based on Pakistani writer Mohammed Hanif's acclaimed novel, A Case Of Exploding Mangoes, which focuses on the plane crash that killed former Pakistani President, General Zia ul-Haq.
Feryna is all set to play Begum Shafiq Zia, the General's wife. "It's my dream to work with Irrfan. I've watched all his films, from Maqbool to The Lunchbox," Feryna informs Mirror who has another international film to look forward to - Dubai-based filmmaker Manav Bhalla's Lashtam Pashtam (With Great Difficulty).
The drama also features Om Puri and Tisca Chopra, with Feryna playing an Afghani woman. She shot for the first sequence in Mumbai on Wednesday and will take off to Dubai for a long schedule next month.
