AIRLIFT grossed 11 crore nett on day one which is a decent collection mainly due to multiplex collections in big cities as mass centres had low collections on day one. The plus for the film is the growth at multiplexes as with morning collections it was looking at sub 10 crore nett total.

The opening day collections are lower than all the Akshay Kumar starrers released last year apart from BABY which did not open at all. The difference here is the trend on day one which suggests that the multiplex audience especially in the cities may take to film especially if the second day can show good growth. For a really big number the key will be big growth in Gujarat, UP, Rajasthan etc on Saturday

The main business has come in Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab and Mysore should show huge growth on Saturday as that circuit should be higher on day one for a film scoring at multiplexes. The rest of the circuits have seen business which is below the mark
