The film is the highest grosser released in Republic Day week but in terms of distributor share it is less than AGNEEPATH and similar to JAI HO. The film is likely to finish with business in the 123 crore nett range and a share of 58.50 crore.

AIRLIFT had its first major drop in the fourth week as collections dropped around 80% from last Friday. The business of Airlift till date is as follows.

The film will gross around 120 crore nett due to this drop at the start of the fourth week. The new releases have fared poorly so there will be big growth on Saturday.

AIRLIFT had a strong second week grossing 10.75 crore nett in week three which takes its three week business to nearly 117 crore nett. The drop in the third week is 58% which is very good considering GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN had a big release and there was also SANAM TERI KASAM.

The film crossed 40 crore nett in Mumbai becoming the fourth Akshay Kumar starrer to hit this mark after ROWDY RATHORE, HOUSEFULL 2 and HOLIDAY - A SOLDIER IS NEVER OFF DUTY. Delhi/UP has crossed 25 crore nett making it the highest Akshay Kumar film in that circuit beating the 24.40 crore nett of ROWDY RATHORE

The film should be able to add another 5-6 crore nett business over the coming weeks giving it a final total of over 120 crore nett. This will make it the 19th highest grossing film ever. The distributor share will be 58 crore apprx.

AIRLIFT has taken its seventeen day business to nearly 113 crore as it collected well again in the third weekend. The business of AIRLIFT in its third weekend is as follows..

The third week will collect around 10.50 crore nett which is better than all the films released last year barring Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bajirao Mastani and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The lifetime collections are heading for 120-122 crore nett.

AIRLIFT is following a similar pattern every week and showed excellent collections on Saturday. The film showed a rise of 75-80% on its third Saturday. The business of Airlift till date is as follows.

AIRLIFT grossed 1.25 crore nett apprx on its second Friday. The drop is around 66% from last week which is pretty good as it had competition from GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN. The drop is similar to last week. The business of AIRLIFT till date is as follows.

The releases of last week MASTIZAADE and SAALA KHADOOS saw heavy drops and will do limited business in their respective second weeks.

AIRIFT had a good second week in the main cities as it grossed 26 crore nett but collections in places like CP Berar, CI, Bihar and Rajasthan had noticeable drops. The drop week on week is 67% which is good. The total after two weeks is close to 106 crore nett.

The first week was a record for an Akshay Kumar starrer but the second week figures are less than films like ROWDY RATHORE, HOUSEFULL 2 and HOLIDAY which all went over 30 crore nett. This is because those films held well all over while AIRIFT hold is mainly in the big 25-30 cities. This is enough for the film, the problem would have been if it was just the 4-5 metros.

The film is already a record grosser for Akshay Kumar in east Punjab, West Bengal and Mysore and has chances to to be number one in Delhi / UP also as it is 2.50 crore nett short of ROWDY RATHORE and has chances to make that up in the next two weeks or so.

AIRLIFT had excellent growth of 60% on its second Saturday. There were some centres which even doubled the collections of Friday. The nine day total for the film is 89.50 crore nett.  The first two day business of the second week is as follows.

The film continued with very strong business in Delhi NCR and East Punjab but places like CP Berar, CI and Bihar have not really taken to the film and had low collections. The total collections in ten days are 97 crore nett. The second weekend daily business is as follows.

The film is a SUPER HIT and will record record figures for an Akshay Kumar film in 3-4 circuits. In some circuits it will hardly touch the business of a big flop like BROTHERS but lower costs compared to most other Akshay Kumar starrers in the recent past means it does not have to perform across the board and good business from the main cities is more than enough.

AIRLIFT grossed 3.50-3.75 crore nett on its eighth day. The film grossed 30-40 lakhs nett more than the main new release MASTIZAADE as it performed much better in the city multiplexes across India. The collections were better than MASTIZAADE in Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab, West Bengal and Mysore.

The drops are coming in mass circuits which have not taken to the film much. In Bihar it was just 7.5 lakhs on the eighth day. Still the good business in multiplexes is more than enough for the film and it is a rare hit film for January.

The growth should be huge on Saturday as MASTIZAADE has failed at the box office and the places where AIRLIFT is strong tend to register huge Saturday growth.

AIRLIFT continued its good run on Wednesday as it grossed around 5.75 crore nett. Although it is a big drop from the previous day which was a big national day but this can always happen with a film having a huge ratio of business from multiplexes. The film had weekday ticket rates at multiplexes for the first time after five days so its likely to tell in collections especially for a multiplex film. The drop is still less than 50% from day one despite it being a Wednesday so the total is still very good.

The film has now grossed around 75 crore nett in six days will finish the week with an excellent 80 crore nett plus total.

The film will face competition from MASTIZAADE on Friday which could take an opening but if the film does not have what its audiences is expecting from it, the collections will fall fast and that will leave Airlift as main film again over the weekend

AIRLIFT had a strong first week of around 79.75 crore nett as the weekdays contributed a huge chunk of the business as ticket rates were held at weekend rates on Monday and Tuesday. There was a drop on Wednesday but still collections were at a high level meaning the film goes into week two with strong collections.

The film had a pretty good start on Friday but it was the growth on Saturday which put it on the road of success. The film has recorded the third highest first week collections for Republic Day week behind JAI HO (83.48 crore) and AGNEEPATH (81.37 crore). Airlift has almost touched the lifetime business of last years Republic Day week release BABY (81.83 crore)

The film will be the highest Akshay Kumar grosser ever in East Punjab, West Bengal and Mysore and maybe Delhi/UP. It has outside chance of being Akshay Kumar's highest all India grosser ever (ROWDY RATHORE - 131.21 crore) but even if it somehow gets there the share will be much less as that was a huge success in single screens also.

AIRLIFT had super strong hold on Monday dropping just 10% from day one with 10 crore nett business. The best holds were in Delhi NCR and East Punjab which held close to first day levels and the first day figures were also good in these parts. The falls came in UP and Bihar as both places dropped around 30-35% but it did not make much difference to overall total as the contribution from these areas is pretty low.  The first four day business is as follows.

The film should do a 80 crore nett first week but will depend on the jump on Republic day which can be anywhere between 30-60%. If the jump is on the higher side it will comfortably cross 80 crore nett. JAI HO in 2014 grossed 83.50 crore nett which is a record for Republic Day week.

AIRLIFT did well in its first weekend grossing 42.50 crore apprx. The film had a decent start but picked very well in the evening followed by huge growth on Saturday. As bulk of the business is from big cities, huge Sunday growth was always going to be difficult but it still managed to show a nice jump.

The first day business was 11 crore nett, second day was 14.50 crore nett and third day 17 crore nett. The best business is in Mumbai, Delhi / UP and East Punjab while Mysore showed a huge jump on Saturday.

Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar and CI have not grossed even as much as some of the under performing Akshay Kumar films but should manage fair business in the long run,

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 grossed 17.75 crore nett over its first weekend. The start was decent but it downhill after that as the first day remained the best day. The first weekend business of KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 is as follows.

The total is still not bad against the budget of the film but the problem is there will be no follow up due to the 20% fall on day two. It is very rare for a film fall 20% on day two unless first day is a holiday. It has not happened in the last few years.

AIRLIFT showed excellent growth on Saturday grossing 14.50 crore nett. The film had good collections at multiplexes in most of the major cities. Multiplexes and single screens is smaller cities are below the mark due to low start.  The first two day busines is as follows.

The Saturday trend has ensured success for the film and it should have a good run at city multiplexes.

KYAA KOOL HAIN HUM 3 on the other hand dropped on day two with around 5.25 crore nett. The drop had started on day one so this was always on the cards. The two day business is 11.75 crore nett apprx.

AIRLIFT grossed 11 crore nett on day one which is a decent collection mainly due to multiplex collections in big cities as mass centres had low collections on day one. The plus for the film is the growth at multiplexes as with morning collections it was looking at sub 10 crore nett total.

The opening day collections are lower than all the Akshay Kumar starrers released last year apart from BABY which did not open at all. The difference here is the trend on day one which suggests that the multiplex audience especially in the cities may take to film especially if the second day can show good growth. For a really big number the key will be big growth in Gujarat, UP, Rajasthan etc on Saturday

The main business has come in Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab and Mysore should show huge growth on Saturday as that circuit should be higher on day one for a film scoring at multiplexes. The rest of the circuits have seen business which is below the mark
