Salman Khan-Sonam Kapoor-starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) is all set to launch its first song, Prem Leela, today. Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya is releasing the film's track, based on RamLeela, much before it was expected, as a gift to the audience prior to the commencement of Navratri and as a treat for Dussehra.

Interestingly, this song features during Salman's introductory scene in the movie. This continues the superstar's recent trend of making his entry in his films with catchy numbers as against the generic star entry. Case in point being his last release Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where in his first scene, he was seen as a devotee of Lord Hanuman in the song Selfie Le Le Re. The family entertainer also marks Salman's return to his most loved character, Prem. This time around, his name is Prem Dilwale.

Talking about the song, Sooraj says, “I specially asked Himeshji (Reshammiya) to compose Prem Leela for Salman bhai. This song underlines his character's innocence and large-heartedness. I was completely smitten by this track and am really glad with the way it has turned out.“

The first trailer of the movie created a record of sorts within 24 hours of its launch, reportedly registering over 5 million views. Since then, it has been going strong, clocking over twice as many hits already.

The Diwali release also marks the reunion of the most eagerly awaited actor-director duo after 16 years. They have always created magic and made box office records whenever they have collaborated. The film, which sees Salman pair up with Sonam for the first time, also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli, Anupam Kher and Swara Bhaskar in pivotal roles.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Rajshri Productions, releases November 12.
