KATTI BATTI had a decent first day of 5.25 crore nett as collections picked up in metros in the evening. The collections should pick up further today and if the film can jump up 40-50% it will put it in a good position. The collections are lower than last week's Hero which was coincidentally directed by the same director. That film did not grow on Saturday but this has a chance as it is catering to the metro audience and this audience comes out on Saturday.

The best performance has come in Delhi /UP and East Punjab with collections going to 1.25 crore nett in Delhi /UP and 70 lakhs nett in East Punjab. Mumbai grossed around 1.65 crore nett.

The collections in Gujarat/Saurashta, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, UP, and Bihar were poor and even multiplexes in these areas did not collect well. These belts will not pick up much so Its fate depends on how well it sustains at metros over the week.
