Uncensored? Nahi!
Deepika Padukone can be seen mouthing some fiery words in the trailer. When asked to do the same on stage, she said, “Another time.” Taking a dig at the Censor Board’s stand on abuses, Imtiaz Ali cheekily added, “Is Pahlajji here?

Not fake
Deepika was also asked whether celebs lead a fake life, much like the two characters in the film? Deepika said, “I don’t think it’s fake. It just comes with certain responsibilities and maybe that’s why you have to carry yourself in a certain way or say with caution. You have the youth who looks upto you. I think the most ideal case would be the way you want to live your life and also be a role model for others.”

Ranveer or Ranbir?
Deepika has been often asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. This time, it was no different. “Oh no. Do we always have to like pick one over the other? I don’t think so,” Deepika said. But Ranveer himself had admitted that DP looks better with Ranbir. “It was something in context of something completely different. It depends on the kind of film, the way the characters are written, depends on what the director extracts out of his actors. Can I compare Ranbir and me of Tamasha or YJHD to Ranveer and me of Bajirao or Ram Leela? No, I cant. We are playing completely different characters and there’s a backstory for each character, which you execute.”

Title kyun change hua?
The film was initially called The Window Seat and soon, it was changed to Tamasha. When quizzed about the reason, Imtiaz Ali explained, “There’s always a working title for every film Love Aaj Kal was titled Elastic. Only Rockstar was called Rockstar. So that was a working title too.”

Aisa ho hi nahi sakta!
Ranbir Kapoor who’s busy shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London flew down to the city to attend the trailer launch, only to fly back again at night to resume shoot of the Karan Johar film. Obviosuly, he didn’t want to miss this event. Ranbir said, “Aisa ho hi nahi sakta. Yeh film ki publicity toh main chhodne hi nahi waala hoon.”

Less pressure
Ranbir’s last three films — Besharam, Roy and Bombay Velvet — haven’t worked, when the actor was asked whether he felt the pressure to deliver a hit with this movie, he said, “Actually, it’s less pressure. This is like home for me. Working with Imtiaz is brilliant because he’s directing every breath of mine. He’ll continue to make me do better. Same with Deepika. Because they care for me so much.”

Katrina ne nahi dekha
Ranbir hai aur Katrina Kaif ka question na aaye yeh ho hi nahi sakta. Even before a reporter could complete her question on Kat watching the trailer, Ranbir replied, “Mujhe pata hai aap kya puchhoge. Katrina ne abhi tak nahi dekhi hai. Even I had not watched the trailer before I reached here.”

Just one question
While Ranbir, Deepika and Imtiaz were answering question, none were directed towards Siddharth Roy Kapur. It was Ranbir who noticed this and asked Sid, “Toh yeh film hum kitne theatres mein release kar rahe hain?” To which, Siddharth said, “Thanks for giving me one question yaar.”

Travel tales
Talking about Imtiaz’s penchant for shooting in different parts of the world, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “He tells us that we have to shoot in Corsica and then some day he tells us we have to shoot in Japan...we have to be in the good books of all the embassies of the world. But the end result is fantastic and we are growing as a production house because of him.”

Meet Junior Ranbir
Yash Sehgal, who played the younger version of Ranbir in Bombay Velvet, was seen at the trailer launch. This time he introduced the team before they took to the stage. With a lot of flamboyance and attitude, much like Ranbir.
