John Abraham returns to the big screen after a two-year gap. In actor years, that’s a fairly long time to stay away. Understandably, the nerves are showing. There’s much buzz about the Welcome Back leading man, who’s supposedly quite insecure about sharing the stage with his veteran co-stars.

The whispers grow louder and louder in the production and one source pipes up, “John is not keen to do team interviews with his co-stars Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar because those two are natural-born scene-stealers at public events.”

The source explains, “Anil and Nana have an instant connect with live audiences. John is at disadvantage because he’s naturally shy and also not fully at home speaking Hindi. As such, he has asked the producers to let him do solo interviews.”

Director Anees Bazmee defends his leading man and insists, “I don’t think he’s uncomfortable promoting the film with Nana and Anil at all. John is just not an extrovert like Nana and Anil. He takes time to open up. That being said, John has been seen at promotional events singing and dancing with them on stage. And he was very comfortable doing so.”
