“To celebrate 10 years in the industry, Vidya has invited her family and close industry friends for a special screening of Hamari Adhuri Kahani,” informs a source close to the actress. Talking about her journey, Vidya says, “I still feel Parineeta happened just recently. Getting the film was possibly the biggest thing for me back then because all I was getting were rejections, from everywhere! Even with a Parineeta, I don’t know how many auditions I gave. I had become angry towards the end and it was my angriest audition that got me the role.”

The actress feels her decade long journey has been ‘totally fulfilling’. “My graph has been volatile with a lot of ups and a lot of downs as well. But at the end, it’s been like an amusement park and I have enjoyed the ride totally.” What follows is the famous Vidya laugh. Ask her what she wants to do now and she replies, “I am quite sorted with the way things are. I just want to keep working till the last day of my life.”
