Kareena Kapoor Khan might be busy promoting Bajrangi
Bhaijaan, but the actress is also kicked about her next project with
Abhishek Chaubey — Udta Punjab. “Udta Punjab is a brilliant film. I
loved the story. It’s one of those films where you don’t have to do too
much to get your emotions out. When Abhishek was narrating the film to
me, I didn’t know whether I wanted to cry or do something else. The
first thought was I want to do the film at any cost,” says Bebo. She
confirmed that she’s ‘playing a doctor from Amritsar’ in the film, but
her track is ‘totally different’. “It’s a three track film. Alia, Shahid
and me aren’t paired together but we are part of the same drug drama,”
she says. At a time when Bollywood films are racing at the box office
for figures, Kareena remains unfazed. “There are some films which won’t
do Rs 150 crores, but will be
remembered for its story. Udta Punjab is one such film. People will talk
about the content more than the box office figures.”
