ABCD 2 had the best opening of the year with first day collections of 14.25 crore nett apprx. The film was excellent in Mumbai circuit despite heavy rain as it grossed 5.25 crore in the circuit. The business was excellent in Maharashtra which also reflected in CP Berar which grossed a huge 89 lakhs nett. Despite the rain it is still Mumbai circuit which has performed best.

North India managed to do well also despite the subject. Obviously the film won't go like TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS in North but opening is similar to that film with Delhi/UP being slightly ahead and East Punjab at the same level.

North may not be number one but Mumbai surely will be as opening far exceeds anything else this year. The film will just have to hold at these levels to emerge a hit. A slight drop is normal on day two for a big release but recently this trend us changing with Saturday growth coming for most of the releases. It remains to be seen if ABCD 2 manages to grow on Saturday or not.
