Nargis Fakhri went to town talking about her role in Spy, her “knife skills”, etc., in the upcoming comedy thriller starring Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham. The actress even tweeted “the new Spy poster” (see alongside) on her microblogging page. But here’s where the buck stops.

For one, Nargis is not featured on the international posters of the film, which speaks volumes about the length of her role in the film as a femme fatale, (according to our source in Hollywood, not more than 10 minutes of screen time) and her significance to the project on the whole, internationally.

Moreover, look at the two posters, and it’s clear she was photoshopped in as an afterthought for Asian markets, specifically India.

Rose Bryne (of Damages fame) is the main antagonist while Jude Law and Jason Statham play key roles.
Will Nargis stand out in the film despite the length of her role? Having watched the film, our source says we can safely bet that she will.
