Vishal Bhardwaj has already begun work on his next project. And no, it won’t be yet another adaptation of a Shakespeare play. Instead, he will work on a biopic of Mary Evans Wadia, popularly known as Fearless Nadia and sources say Kangana Ranaut is on board to play the title role in the film called Julia.

Our source reveals, “Bhardwaj has been toying with the idea of making a film on Fearless Nadia for close to a decade now. Around eight years ago, he started working on the script and even had the cast on board, but the film got stalled as the production house backed out. Thereafter, the film has been on the backburner, but recently, the filmmaker decided to revive his ambitious project. He has almost finished re-writing the script and has given Kangana a narration.”

It is believed that the two even met informally to talk about the project, the story of a famous stunt woman in the 1930s. In all probability, Kangs will sign on the dotted line. The actress has always maintained that she was looking forward to working with Bhardwaj. “This is one such script that has caught her fancy and once she works out her dates, there will be a formal announcement on the same,” adds the source.

Incidentally, it was being speculated that Deepika Padukone has been signed on to play the role but our sources confirm that Kangana is definitely in the running for the film.
