A few weeks ago, Vishal
Bhardwaj's critically acclaimed Haider won five
National Awards, including one for its music scored by Vishal himself.
Now, the maverick director-composer has given his Omkara actor, Ajay
Devgn, a reason to smile.
Mirror has learnt that Vishal will compose the songs of Ajay's Drishyam, with his friend and frequent collaborator, Gulzar, penning the lyrics. The Vishal-Ajay duo was to team up for the director's Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola in 2013, but that didn't happen owing to several reasons. “But those differences are behind them now and Ajay will be dancing to Vishal's tunes in his upcoming thriller.
Producer Kumar Mangat confirmed the news, saying, “There are three songs in the film, two of which have already been recorded. It's a difficult film to make music for but Vishal is a family friend. When I asked him, he instantly agreed despite the tight timeline. We have to release the film on July 31!“
