Shriya Pilgaonkar, daughter of veteran actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, is all set to step into the Hindi film industry. The youngster features in the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Fan. Though details of the Maneesh Sharma film remain highly guarded, buzz is that Shriya is part of the project apart from model Walushca Robinson.

Says a source, “Shah Rukh is presently shooting for the film in New Delhi and Shriya is also there. Hers is a small but important role. Everyone associated with the project has been instructed to purse their lips.” In January, Shriya shot for a French film Un Plus Une helmed by Oscar winning director Claude Lelouche. It starred The Artist star Jean DuJardin and was filmed in India.

Shriya made her acting debut with her father’s Marathi production Ekulti Ek (2013). She began her career by making short films like Painted Signal (2012) and Dresswala (2013) which did the rounds of various film festivals.

Last year, she was seen on stage in the English play Internal Affairs. She had also bagged the World Nomad’s Travel Film Scholarship through which she got an opportunity to go to Brazil to make travel- related films.

Shriya remained unavailable for comment.
