She maybe one of the hottest young stars today but to be known as a cool chef, Alia Bhatt has a long way to go... that is if her performance on Videocon Presents Farah Ki Daawat is anything to go by. Turns out, for Alia, switching on the gas is nothing short of an adventure and it took her a good 10 minutes to figure out the right way to hold a knife. Lucky that she had Farah Khan come to her rescue, who not only taught the young actress some basic tricks of cooking but also how to make her favourite dish - Thai Curry.
Speaking about the special episode, Farah said, “I am thrilled with the feedback we are getting for our show across various social platforms. And this week, we have another special reason to rejoice, as the show will now also air on Pakistan's TV One, giving me a unique opportunity to reach out to all Bollywood fans and food lovers across the border
Joining Alia in the kitchen as her challenger-cum-sous chef will be TV
star Gautam Gulati, who will be seen going down on one knee with a
tomato in his hand, as he proposes to Alia. Adding to the fun, Farah
will be tying both Alia and Gautam to each other and challenge them to
create a Spanish omelette using only one hand each.
Alia will also participate in a fun game, where she will be quizzed about vegetables that she thinks resemble a celebrity. While she feels that good friend Karan Johar is akin to 'khatta nimbooda' as a lemon is an integral ingredient in most recipes just like a producer is to a film, she labels John Abraham as the teekhi hari mirchi owing to his hotness.
