The game of musical chairs continues in the corridors of Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan's offices. Mirror was the first to report (July 19, 2014) that Varun Dhawan and SRK will be seen playing brothers in Shetty's next. Now, the makers have roped in Heropanti heroine Kriti Sanon to play Varun's love interest, but she may not be their final choice.

A source close to the development revealed that Shetty wants to reunite Student Of The Year couple, Varun and Alia Bhatt, in his comic-caper. “A week ago, Alia was given a narration and she's keen to feature in the SRK-starrer tentatively titled Dilwale. She will take a final call in the coming week as she's already committed to Shakun Batra's next which rolls around the same time,“ the source added. “The makers, including Shah Rukh Khan, are clear that they will give priority to Alia over Kriti if the former can squeeze out the dates, which in all probability, she will.“

It may be recalled that Kriti opted out of the Akshay Kumar-starrer Singh Is Bliing to do Shetty's next. The producers of the Prabhu Dheva directorial have already found her replacement in Amy Jackson. Now, if Alia steps into Shetty's next, it will be a lose-lose situation for Kriti!
