Director Bhushan Patel, who has explored the horror genre in his previous films, was a natural choice for this Panorama Studios' horror love story, which revolves around conjoined twins.
About shooting the film, Abhishek's father and producer Kumar Mangat says, “While Bipasha had to shoot a number of scenes twice, in keeping with her dual roles, we had to ensure that the visual effects added to the eerie scenes.“ He adds, “We were also particular about the soundtrack, because if you've cracked it, then you've won half the battle. The song Katra having caught on is one example.“
The team is pleased with the response to the promos and songs. After Alone, they have Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 in the pipeline. Abhishek adds, “We're also producing Wild Wild Punjab, a road film in association with Luv Ranjan, the director of Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel. A few other subjects are simultaneously being developed.“
Alone, produced by Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat, Pradeep Agarwal and Prashant Sharma, releases January 16.
