We have learnt that after an eight-year gap, Firoz Nadiadwala is soon going to be back with the third film in his hit comedy franchise Hera Pheri. The film currently titled Hera Pheri 3 will once again be directed by Neeraj Vora and has managed a coup by getting the Dostana boys John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan as leading men, in addition to Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who will continue from the original trio. We can't wait to see this foursome, who will start shooting sometime in March.

A source close to the unit revealed that Hera Pheri 3 will have a “sitcom treatment“and its story revolves around a misunderstanding caused by the two characters. “Both John and Abhishek go by the name Raju. One is Raju Khabri and the other is Raju Duplicate. Irrfan Khan plays the role of a lovable don. Paresh (Rawal) and Suniel (Shetty) will return as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte and Shyam respectively,“ our source said.
Expected to go on floors in June, the film will be extensively shot in Mumbai, Dubai and Las Vegas. Confirming the same, director Neeraj Vora told Mirror, “The essence of the first two films will be retained but the plot is completely new. Hera Pheri 3 will start from the point where the second film ended the part where the boys are left hanging (a sequence borrowed from Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).“
Asked why Akshay Kumar who featured in Part 1 and 2 has dropped out, Vora said, “The plot demands his absence. Once you see the film, you'll understand why he isn't in this film. But rest assured that the humour will be several notches higher.“
Recently, Smriti Irani had to back out of Umesh Shukla's All Is Well owing to her commitment as Union HRD Minister. How does Paresh Rawal, who is now a BJP MP, intend to balance time between the sets and the Parliament? The actor said, “I've allotted a chunk of dates which don't clash with my other commitments. Hera Pheri is a fun film, there was no way I'd let go of this one.“
Suniel Shetty is equally excited that after nine years, one of India's first fran chises is being taken for ward. “I had decided not to take up any films without giving it a lot of thought. I'm thrilled to go back to Hera Pheri and work with John, Abhishek, Irrfan and of course, the brilliant Paresh Rawal.“
