In a surprising turn of events, the makers of Bigg
Boss 8, which is being hosted by Salman Khan have decided to extend the
the high voltage reality show. Bigg Boss 8, which was supposed to end
on January 4, 2015 has got a month’s extension.
But Salman won’t be hosting the show from January 4. He is shooting in the interiors of Rajasthan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and doesnt have dates to give. His contract ends on Jan 4. And it is learnt that Farah Khan, who will take over as the host of nation’s most controversial reality show.
“The production team had a meeting with the contestants for almost an hour and discussed the idea of extending the show for a month. Most of the contestants inside the house have agreed for it,” reveals a source closely associated with the show. It is learnt that the channel makers first approached Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor to replace the Kick actor, but they both refused. Farah, a big fan of the show agreed to come on board.
Why extend the show? The channel believes the show is doing really well and the TRPs have shown a drastic improvement from the first few weeks, and they don’t want to lose out on the numbers.
