The brother-sister duo of Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem, who have earned critical acclaim for their performances in films like Gangs Of Wasseypur and Hawa Hawaai respectively, are now teaming up for a film.
Mirror has learnt that director Prawaal Raman, who has made horror films like Darna Mana Hai, Jungle and Gaayab, and is currently working on the Randeep Hooda-starrer Main Aur Charles, will be helming it.
A source close to the development told Mirror, "An international studio is attached to the project. Negotiations are on."
The source revealed that one of the main reasons why the duo has been cast is because it is a story about two siblings who get caught in a creepy, unsettling environment. "How they navigate their way out of the paranormal situation is what the story is all about," adds the source.
Huma has already acted in a horror film, Ek Thi Daayan. This time both Saqib and she had a joint narration and they were impressed by the script.
"Also they were excited at the prospect of acting together," says the source.
