Set to dazzle on Indian television again this time with Dhoop Chhaon, Nadia Jamil has been acknowledged over the years for her powerful performances in Pakistani dramas and plays. What few people know is that the pretty actress was once offered a significant role in Yash Chopra’s movie. She could have been a Yash Chopra find, she could have been draped in that trademark white chiffon sari and seen atop the snow-clad mountains of Switzerland romancing her hero but Nadia turned down the offer.

Nadia reminisces about the old times and talks about her deep friendship with the late filmmaker and the fact that she shares a close friendship with Pamela Chopra. Talking about the offer made to her by Yash Chopra, she says, “I turned it down because back then I was not ambitious and too laid back to walk the red carpet and enjoy the flashlights as a quintessential Hindi film heroine.”
