The TRPs of Bigg Boss 8 as the numbers went from 2.2 to 1.8 in the second week but the channel bosses are not worried. The weekend programming head of Colors, Manisha Sharma says, “The best is still to come and the creative teams are working round the clock to make sure that the show achieves new milestones with interesting twists and turns, as the show continues to gain momentum with every passing day.”

An source from the TV industry days, “It was not just Bigg Boss whose numbers were affected. It happened with all shows that week. It happens every year during the the Navratri festival.” Despite the fall in TRP, it is Bigg Boss that has taken Colors up the channel to the No 2 position. among other competing Hindi GECs. And a large part of that credit goes to host Salman Khan.
