Farah Khan's Happy New Year is all about celebrating people who have tried and failed. The movie, whose trailer launches today, conveys the message that if you respect your goals, you will always achieve them. The trick is to turn your hope into belief.

Shah Rukh Khan, the film’s lead actor, says, “I have a dialogue, which goes, ‘Kismat badi kutti cheez hai... saali kabhi bhi palat jaati hai’. It holds true not just for reel, but real life as well. You are not necessarily a loser if you do not win even after trying repeatedly. HNY is a celebration and most importantly, it is as happy as the title is."

Echoing the thought, Farah adds, “There's a line in the film, 'Haaro toh haaro, par izzat mat utaaro.' Even if you lose, don't let that bring you down and think it is the end.“

The movie, produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff. Slated for a worldwide release this Diwali, it has music composed by Vishal-Shekhar.
