Rohit Shetty is known to include picturesque locations of the cities he shoots in. For Singham Returns, which is set in Mumbai, the director has shot in interesting places like Reay Road, Cotton Green, Worli Fort, Urankhamwadi Chawl and JJ Flyover that bring out the character of the city. He even included Mahim Dargah in the movie, which is usually difficult to shoot at as it's always thronged by people. Rohit also got special permission to shoot at the Gateway of India for this Independence Day release. Interestingly, this is the first time in over six years that a film has been shot at the location.

A source associated with the Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer, which hits the theatres on August 15, says, “Rohit Sir is very particular about the locations in his films. Since the story of Singham Returns is based in Mumbai, he wanted to shoot at places which bring out the flavour of the city."
