Actor Murli Sharma, who played a corrupt politician in OMG Oh My God!, will now feature in the film's Telugu remake. The lead role, essayed by Paresh Rawal in the Hindi version, will be reprised by popular South actor Venkatesh. But the twist is that Murli will turn positive in the Telugu version. He will enact the role played by Om Puri in the original - that of the advocate, who encourages Paresh Rawal to fight a legal battle against Godmen and religious institutions.

Murli, who balances films with television, confirms, “They had approached me to play the same role, but my schedule was packed. They approached me again, but with a positive role. I was more than pleased to accept it."
