KUKU MATHUR KI JHAND HO GAYI flopped badly as it grossed around 2.25 crore nett in week one. It had a low budget but that was irrelevant with such low collections.
CITYLIGHTS also flopped with poor collections of around 5.25 crore nett in week one. The film actually had steady collections on the weekdays but multiplex occupancies were so poor (10%) that it was always going to lose most of its show even if HOLIDAY - A SOLIDER IS NEVER OFF DUTY did not release. A similar costing flop film, HAWAA HAWAAI, which by coincidence was also released by the same distribution concern grossed 8.75 crore nett in its lifetime run and CITYLIGHTS will not even get close to that figure.
