He has cast him in all his
movies so far and this time too he's there. Boman Irani, who played
pivotal roles in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots,
is oncde again a part of Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming film PK. Although
it's only a cameo, his character is crucial to the script and the actor
has already shot his part.
A source close to the development said: “Boman is Raju's lucky mascot and he is very fond of him. He respects him a lot as an actor too. Raju believes that Boman brings a different dimension to his films. And on his part, Boman thinks that he owes his success and popularity to Raju and so can never turn down his offers."
Boman has gone from strength to strength. If his portrayal of the strict, overbearing dean J. Asthana in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. brought him into limelight, he won the Filmfare Award for best villain with his dazzling performance as the unscrupulous Lucky Singh in Lage Raho Munna Bhai. He then went on to sweep the award season, bagging three trophies for the eccentric antagonist, Professor Viru Sahastrabuddhi, of 3 Idiots.
After scoring a hat-trick at the box-office, it is to be seen if Hirani can deliver another hit. But now with his ace of spades with him, he seems to have a winning hand.
