The appreciation is better with the multiplex audience and that should drive business from Monday onwards.
-----------------------
HOLIDAY - A SOLIDER IS NEVER OFF DUTY weekend business is around 38.75 crore nett as collections on Sunday amounted to approx 15.49 crore.Sunday has seen almosty 25% huge growth for the film with some circuits having even higher growth.
The weekend is still below par but the week will be good as the trend has been strong over the weekend with good growth in key areas. The opening has cost the film a good weekend as really the first day business should have been more closer to the business on Sunday.
A 35 crore plus weekend is normally a fair result but HOLIDAY - A SOLIDER IS NEVER OFF DUTY is a costly film for its distributors. So it becomes like that JAI HO scenario which got 57 crore nett weekend but still was not quite enough for its costs. Although the costs of HOLIDAY - A SOLIDER IS NEVER OFF DUTY are not as high as JAI HO but still they warrant a bigger weekend than 38 or 39 crore nett.
The final results of the film will be much better than the initial and it could even reach 100 crore nett and should at least emerge a decent success or possibly even a hit depending on how it sustains over the next 10-12 days or so.
------------------------------------------
FILMISTAAN had low numbers over the weekend though there was big growth on Saturday and weekdays will stay steady with low collections. The film really depends on whether it can go and hold up well in the second week. The weekend collections were as follows.
Friday - 45,00,000
Saturday - 95,00,000
Sunday - 1,20,00,000
TOTAL - 2,60,00,000
