In 1984, when Mahesh Bhatt made Saaransh, the film not only earned acclaim for actors Anupam Kher and Rohini Hattangadi, but also sealed the filmmaker's fate as a master storyteller. Three decades later, Bhatt seems to have found his reflection in National award-winning director Hansal Mehta. In a recent interview to us, Bhatt was effusive in his appreciation, adding that Mehta is one of the most dependable film makers he has worked with in recent times.
Today, Bhatt is organising a special screening of Mehta’s upcoming film Citylights for his friends and colleagues from the fraternity.

What makes the occasion doubly special is the fact that Saaransh completes 30 years today and to mark the milestone, Bhatt will be handing over the Filmfare Award, he won for his 1984 film, to Mehta.
