Born and brought up in Jharkhand, Prashant Rai never imagined he would make his acting debut with a Hollywood film. The young actor, who currently resides in New York, plays a tourist in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He features in a fight sequence between spider-man (Andrew Garfield) and Electro (Jamie Foxx).
About his experience, he says, “The set was extravagant with eight huge cranes lifting Andrew. Working in minus five degree temperature on windy nights is unforgettable.” An alumnus of New York’s Stella Adler Studio Of Acting, Prashant was personally trained by Broadway fame Rosalyn Coleman Williams. “That helped me get work easily through a mere audition,” he says.
