Ashutosh Gowariker was set to wrap up the current schedule of his TV show Everest in Harsil, Uttrakhand and then head to Nepal. But unfortunately for him, his plans went for a six when nature played spoilsport.
After shooting in Mumbai the unit had moved to the hills up North. “They were hoping to wrap up the shoot there by this week. But a sudden snowfall in Harsil has delayed the schedule by at least a week to 10 days. The first unit is waiting in Nepal but the second unit is still stuck in Harsil,” reveals a source, close to the development.
After completing the Nepal schedule, the team will move to New Zealand in May. After the Kiwi schedule which may take upto 15 days, the crew will spend atleast another month or two in post-production. The show will only start airing after that. The date of telecast is yet to be finalised by the producer and the channel.
The show is about the conquest of the Mount Everest. It features new faces in the lead. and has seasoned actors like Milind Gunaji and Rajat Kapoor playing pivotal characters. The show has been conceptualised by Gowariker but is being directed by Glen and Ankush. AR Rahman is composing the show’s music.
