SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS did well over its first weekend as it collected around 21 crore nett in its first weekend as per early estimates. This was despite the business of the film being affected by the cricket matches on Friday and Sunday.

The matches involving India probably hit the film for 1 crore nett on Friday and a similar amount on Sunday. A limited release in Rajasthan also meant collections in that circuit were around 60 lakhs lower than they should have been.

The film did good business in Delhi city, East Punjab and Mysore while Mumbai saw average collections and other circuits were low. All circuits including the ones which were low on Friday saw good growth on Saturday but again the cricket match meant Sunday collections did not witness much growth.

The figures on Saturday suggest the film can hold on Monday but its hard to tell exactly how much of the growth was due to a low Friday due to the cricket. The approx figures of SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS over the first three days is as follows.

HIGHWAY dropped in its second weekend as it collected 2.75-3 crore nett it its second weekend taking its ten days business to 23.75 crore nett. The drop in the second weekend is 75% plus which is the norm for films today but for a film like HIGHWAY which is depending on word of mouth the hold should had been better.

The film was also affected by the cricket and SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS also took some business away as both films are doing their best business in the same areas.

This film will end its second with business probably around 25.50 crore nett and then may add another crore or two at best.
