Farah Khan, who is shooting for Happy New Year with Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Boman Irani, is planning to make her actors explore new depths. SRK and Boman will have a scuba diving sequence in the film and for this, the two will go through vigorous training by certified divers in a huge pool in Khopoli. Currently, the team is shooting in Film City and will be travelling to the location soon.
A source told Mirror, “The underwater sequence is crucial to the film and its something neither Farah nor SRK have done before. They have assigned a team to take care of the training. A foreign technician will also be involved in filming the sequence.”
Describing the pool, another source said: “The pool is approximately 22 feet deep and the water is absolutely clear. It is perfect for scuba diving lessons.”
When contacted Farah confirmed that the team is going to Khopoli post December 20 to shoot the scene in question.
