Vakeel Saab collects 110 cr in 10 days

VAKEEL SAAB saw a big drop in business in the second weekend as it grossed around 6.50 crore nett which takes the total business of the film to 110 crore nett. The film has now comfortably crossed 100 crore nett in Nizam Andhra.
The Tamil film MASTER released in January did around 107 crore nett in its home market of Tamil Nadu and VAKEEL SAAB will beat that figure in Nizam/Andhra despite this drop. The share of VAKEEL SAAB will be comfortably higher than MASTER. This is because MASTER did not get a share post the second week in Tamil Nadu due to an early digital release though it got great deals in week one and had a huge realization of the nett numbers in week one. But this all levels up as that last 10% of the business for the film had no share and so final realization comes back to normal..
The all India business of MASTER is way ahead as that film film crossed the 160 crore nett mark and VAKEEL SAAB will probably have to settle for 120 crore nett but with one language as compared to three for MASTER.

VAKEEL SAAB collected an excellent 100 crore nett apprx in week one
which is the second highest first week total in India post the pandemic
after MASTER. But MASTER had a far bigger release and a much bigger
ratio of business for MASTER was coming from outside of its home market
of Tamil Nadu. If we compare the business of VAKEEL SAAB in Nizam/Andhra and MASTER in Tamil Nadu, then VAKEEL SAAB is ahead. In fact, then
the seven day business of VAKEEL SAAB is more than the nine days of
MASTER.
The business of VAKEEL SAAB outside Nizam/Andhra is low. It was only Karnataka which could do something but that state has not really
collected for the film with the first week collections being a little
over 5 crore nett.
The film is a HIT but collections did drop on Monday and then got
boosted by the holiday period and then also dropped on day seven
especially in Hyderabad. The first week business of the film is among
the top 5 or films in Nizam/Andhra and pretty much in a similar range
to SAAHO but these numbers have come in a much more testing period.
There is a tendency for big films in Nizam/Andhra to drop off post the
first week. Here the fall could be even more than normal due to the
situation on the ground level not only to do with the Coronavirus pandemic but with
theatres shutting shop due to issues with the state government over ticket pricing.
Still the job is done for the film with a big first week and with help from
the holiday period. It is by far bigger than the Hindi film PINK which this film is said to be remade from. That film grossed 65 crore
nett with 35.50 crore nett coming in week one.

VAKEEL SAAB made huge gains on Tuesday as it was a holiday in Andhra
Pradesh. The film collected around the 11.50 crore nett mark which took
the five day total of the film to 87.50 crore nett. The holiday push
probably ensures the film finishes a plus film in Nizam/Andhra.
The collections on Tuesday were the highest after day one in many of the
B and C centres in the state though a city like Hyderabad was less.
This bigger centres can also be less as the Coronavirus pandemic fear will be more
in these places especially among families.
The film could hit a first week total of 95 crore nett now due to this
push on the holiday. There could be a little leftover for the holiday
today (Wednesday) which could help collections a little.

Vakeel Saab collects 75.75 cr in 4 days

VAKEEL SAAB had a drop in collections on Monday as it collected in the
5.50-6 crore nett range. The film had issues on Monday with ticket
pricing. The state government tried to implement a rule to set maximum
ticket pricing which exhibitors are against and rightfully so. How many
exhibitors actually dropped prices and went by the new rules cant be
said.
There is a local Telugu holiday today (Tuesday) which should help
collections of the film for a day or maybe two. The collections of the
film till date are 75-76 crore nett and the week should finish in the
85-90 crore nett range.
The film is said to be a remake of the 2016
Hindi film PINK but obviously they added star power and made the film
more cinematic. Otherwise it would have no chance in Andhra as the
original itself did not do well even in the biggest centre of Andhra,
Hyderabad.
PINK had fared well in the five metros of Hindi markets especially Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore with the last mentioned one being excellent.

VAKEEL SAAB has taken a huge start as it posted the highest opening post the pandemic with all India collections set to cross the 35 crore nett of MASTER. The collections of the film are looking to be in the 38-39 crore nett region and maybe even a little higher.
The film has collected around 35 crore nett in Andhra Pradesh which is in a similar range to films like SYE RAA NARASIMHA REDDY and SAAHO which are second and third best openers after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION but both these films were released in a normal situation. It is a phenomenal start for the film with VAKEEL SAAB matching the all India collections of MASTER in Andhra alone. It is among the top five openers ever in Andhra Pradesh and may even be among the top three.
VAKEEL SAAB is a one language film and so after Andhra Pradesh there is a limited contribution coming from elsewhere and it will be Karnataka state that can take it towards the 40 crore nett mark. The Hindi markets saw a negligible collections as Mumbai city and Maharashtra is shut and more than 50% of the collections of South films (not dubbed) come from here.
The film is said to have mixed reports in Andhra Pradesh and it remains to be seen how it goes but business of 100 crore nett plus in Andhra Pradesh will see the film in the safe zone.

VAKEEL SAAB collected very well on day two with collections of 16-17 crore nett. This takes the film to 54 crore nett in two days which is an excellent total. The two day apprx figures in Nizam/Andhra will be around the 48 crore nett mark with 34 crore nett on day one and 14 crore nett on day two.
The drop is a regular occurrence in Telugu films and its par for the course. The two day numbers are competing with some of the biggest Telugu films outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION despite releasing in the pandemic. The collections on Sunday should also be in the same range as Saturday which should mean a weekend of around 70 crore nett for the film.

VAKEEL SAAB collected 70 crore nett apprx in its first weekend which is the highest weekend post the pandemic in India going past the 69 crore nett of MASTER in January. That film had its first three days over the Wed-Fri period which was a holiday period.
The results are very good in its home market of Nizam/Andhra but outside it has not performed too well. The film is only in one language so not much can be expected and it is mainly Bangalore which has contributed to collections outside Nizam/Andhra. The rest of Karnataka was below the mark. MASTER was released in three languages and had a far bigger ratio of business coming outside its home market of Tamil Nadu.
The trend is pretty much normal for a Telugu film and its Monday which will decide where the film will go. There are ticket pricing issues in Nizam/Andhra but the hope will be it can sustain and cruise past the 100 crore nett mark. The film also did well in USA with collections of $700k plus which is also the higehst weekend till date post the pandemic.
