VAKEEL SAAB collected an excellent 100 crore nett apprx in week one which is the second highest first week total in India post the pandemic after MASTER. But MASTER had a far bigger release and a much bigger ratio of business for MASTER was coming from outside of its home market of Tamil Nadu. If we compare the business of VAKEEL SAAB in Nizam/Andhra and MASTER in Tamil Nadu, then VAKEEL SAAB is ahead. In fact, then the seven day business of VAKEEL SAAB is more than the nine days of MASTER.

The business of VAKEEL SAAB outside Nizam/Andhra is low. It was only Karnataka which could do something but that state has not really collected for the film with the first week collections being a little over 5 crore nett.

The film is a HIT but collections did drop on Monday and then got boosted by the holiday period and then also dropped on day seven especially in Hyderabad. The first week business of the film is among the top 5 or films in Nizam/Andhra and pretty much in a similar range to SAAHO but these numbers have come in a much more testing period.

There is a tendency for big films in Nizam/Andhra to drop off post the first week. Here the fall could be even more than normal due to the situation on the ground level not only to do with the Coronavirus pandemic but with theatres shutting shop due to issues with the state government over ticket pricing.

Still the job is done for the film with a big first week and with help from the holiday period. It is by far bigger than the Hindi film PINK which this film is said to be remade from. That film grossed 65 crore nett with 35.50 crore nett coming in week one.
