The lifetime business of the film is dependent on where it lands on its third Friday and if it can hold at its Thursday level, it could go to the 125 crore nett mark while a 20-30% drop will mean it will have to settle for less than 120 crore nett. Either way, the film will be an AVERAGE fare.

The very limited acceptance across the mass Hindi circuits has come in the way of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR emerging a HIT. Mumbai circuit is also a major underperformer as it will not even do the business of '83 here.

Its likely that the many releases this week has hits its business as screenings reduced at multiplexes to provide space for the new releases. The film grossed around 15 crore nett in its second weekend taking its 12 day total to 94 crore nett.

The film will be flirting with the 100 crore nett mark after two weeks but it is too late and this number should have come much earlier. The film has managed to do good business in Delhi city, Gurgaon and Noida and that is about it while other places are average to dull. The plus is that its not fared as badly as some of the other big films and at least the film will be an AVERAGE success.

It can be also said that the collections are pretty decent for the box office scenario today but in reality the scenario is pretty good and its just the films are not good or lets say dated for post pandemic. TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR collected around 5-50-5.75 crore nett on Saturday and had very good growth all over. This takes the total of the film to over 87 crore nett which is decent. The film should have been targeting a 25 crore nett plus second week but that will not happen now as there was a drop on the second Friday. The film showed a jump of 70-75% on the second Saturday.

MRS CHATTERJEE VS NORWAY did well on the second day as collections doubled up on Saturday at around 2.50 crore nett taking its two day total to 3.75 crore nett. The film is about trajectory and it remains to see what happens over the next few days and weeks.

The growth on Saturday should ensure that the film holds well on Monday. The film set an opening day record in Norway by a distant mile as it collected more than double of the likes of PADMAAVAT and PATHAAN. The film did well generally in Overseas and the weekend may well be over $800k which is a good number for a film like this.

ZWIGATO is poor as it has grossed around 55 lakhs nett in two days with 20 lakhs nett coming on day one and around 35 lakhs nett coming on day two.

The drop is around 20% from Thursday which is decent though it could have done with collections nearer to the Thursday considering ticket rates going up on the weekend.

There were so many releases that it affected the showcasing of the film even though none of these films were much of a force. The film continues to driven by the NCR area with the help of a couple of other metros. The NCR area is sure to beat films like GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI and SOORYAVANSHI though it wont beat the latter in Delhi/UP now as business in the state of UP is low.
