KILL collected 1.25 crore nett on Monday which is pretty much the same as the first day which was a must for the film if it is to get some sort of respectable total. The film had a decent trend over the weekend for the genre and although the Saturday jump would have been expected to be more, it was actually pretty good for the genre.
The problem remains the opening which still leaves collections at a very low level. The film should hold over the weekdays post the Monday to get to around 11 crore nett for the week. There have been some films like LAAPATAA LADIES, SWATANTRYA VEER SAVARKAR and MADGAON EXPRESS, which looked like going nowhere but eventually managed some fair numbers as we had that dull period post Eid. But this situation is not here with KILL. It was actually not there with those films either but the Eid releases tanked so badly.
KILL is now depending on where the second Friday lands if it is get some sort of respectable lifetime number. If the film can go up on the weekdays that may helps its case with showcasing in the second week.
The box office numbers of KILL so far are as follows.
Friday - 1,30,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 2,65,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 7,20,00,000 apprx

KILL had a poor first weekend of around 6 crore nett which is probably par for the course but what happens is these pre release reports start coming that the film is good. On top of that, its a big banner film and the industry starts to expect the film will collect as well. The box office is a different kettle of fish as its about the word of mouth of the public and not media and industry reports.
Eventually, the box office will decide what is good and what is bad and the problem with KILL is you are catering for such a limited audience. Also, its tough to get people to theatres anyway today and hence, the collections are bound to be limited. The opening basically killed the film as the trend is not too bad taking into account that its an action or violent thriller film but you just cant open so low for this genre.
The film is pretty much on the lines of CHANDU CHAMPION as gets praise in Mumbai film circles be it industry and media but the audience does not really care. The film now needs a Monday similar to Friday and that is just to get some sort of respectable lifetime number let alone success.
The box office numbers of Kill over its first weekend are as follows.
Friday - 1,30,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 2,65,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 5,95,00,000 apprx

The new release KILL collected around 1.3-1.35 crore net with better collections in Mumbai circuit and South India. This is relatively speaking. The traditional action circuits of North and Central as well as Bihar are less. So basically, a film for the gentry and action has never really worked well with gentry.
The film needs a huge jump on Saturday to stay in the race and then weekdays will have to stay at Friday levels for the film to have a chance. The film has done better in US with good collections as it attempts to cater to the non sub continent crowd.
------------------------------
KILL collected 2 crore nett on day two jumping around 60% but it makes little difference as the initial was too low for a film of this genre. The genre has its limitations post the opening day in terms of growth and here its also a 1000 plus screen release for a film with limited appeal and many of these are just not going to grow much.
The two day business of the film is 3.30 crore nett which is far too low and on top the areas which do better for action are underperforming. The audience in these belts have probably seen it like a violent thriller or something and generally kept away.
The collections of KILL are as follows.
Friday - 1,30,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 3,30,00,000 apprx
