My association with Jacqueline began in 2015. Rhea Kapoor, who was my boss back then, had introduced us. Jacqueline has a great physique and trusts people she is surrounded by. Somehow, that just makes me want to work harder every time we are collaborating.

She facilitates comfort and creative freedom in the workspace and is willing to try new things. In her presence, everything is super positive. That’s the kind of energy she gives out and simultaneously brings out in people.

Jackie can work anything that you put on her, but in my opinion, she looks and feels the best in outfits that she’s most comfortable in. Her favourite colour is most definitely pink, but she is not biased towards any one silhouette. Speaking of favourites, she has an emerald ring that she wears all the time. She also loves her horse-riding outfits and gear. Jackie has never been one to follow trends. She is the kind of person who would rather go with what works on her and to my mind, is super classic.

Over time, we’ve developed an understanding of what works on her and what doesn’t. I can tell what she will potentially like or won’t. Jackie is also in-sync with my space. My team is constantly researching new designers from all over the world, working on mood boards, brain-storming on fresh ideas and thinking of cool ways to shoot our looks. That, in a way, motivates all of us to work harder.

It’s not just a look you’re putting out at the end of the day, it’s an entire vibe. I don’t think we’ve restricted ourselves in terms of colour. That’s something that depends on the occasion and the time of an event—if it is during the day or at night; if it is an award show, a stage performance or a shoot. It also depends on the brief provided.

That said, Jacqueline can really pull off pop colours, so we do a lot of yellow, red and pink. At the same time we also stick to classic tones like black and white. The only colour we generally refrain from using is grey because it doesn’t work against her skin tone and washes her out. It’s a coincidence that we have done a lot of slit dresses. If I had to sum up Jackie’s personal style, I’d say it is effortless and experimental.

NOT-SO-LITTLE BLACK DRESS: For a Christmas Eve dinner, we opted for a slip dress, paired with draped crystal earrings, Swarovski flower strappy shoes and a serpenti clutch

BLUSH-IOUS: It was a ruched corset-gown for an awards show in Jackie’s fave colour. She wore it with diamond hoop earrings and a diamond anklet


GIMME SOME SUNSHINE: For an interview, she wore a ruched off-shoulder midi dress. We kept the accessories minimal, with just diamond hoops, a ring and a mini bag

LET THERE BE DRAMA: This beautiful embellished gown from a Lebanese designer found a match in a dramatic feather stole, clear pumps and classic diamond studs

DESI GIRL: I loved the blouse she wore with this lehenga for one of the Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta wedding events. It had these beautiful leg of mutton sleeves with ruffles adding drama

Jacqueline Fernandez has taken a break from work and is off to Europe with family to ring in her 33rd birthday, today. Mirror caught up with the birthday girl. Jacqueline Fernandez will be bringing in her birthday with family and close friends in Europe. She plans to do everything she loves, from eating and shopping to exploring new places.

“The year so far has been very hectic so I’m glad that I can spend this day with those who matter to me the most,” she tells Mirror from Naples, adding that she will probably pick up a gift for herself or her home on her travels.

Quiz her on her favourite memories of the year gone by and she lists Judwaa 2, Race 3, the Da-Bangg The Tour and the launch of her own fashion brand. And what’s on her wish list for this year? “There are a few things that I absolutely love, like horse riding, playing the piano, and cooking. I’ll take off some time for all this. And when I have some time free, I also want to learn Urdu which is a beautiful language. At times when I read something, and if I find a word that sounds interesting, I note it down, learn it and try to incorporate it in my conversation,” she admits.

And what has been her most memorable birthday so far? “Each birthday tops the previous one and becomes the most memorable and credit for that goes to my family and friends,” she asserts. “My most prized possessions, though not a birthday present, are my adorable cats, Miu-Miu and Yoda.”

Here’s a sneak peek of Jacqueline Fernandez in the recreated version of Ek Do Teen for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi 2. Choreographed by Ahmed Khan and Ganesh Acharya, the teaser for the rebooted song from Tezaab, which starred Madhuri Dixit, will release today.

This is the fourth number from Baaghi 2’s music album and the full soundtrack will be released soon. The first three songs have already garnered a good response from the audience.

Jackie, who is known for being a part of superhit numbers and upping their ante with her oomph quotient, has called this her tribute to Madhuri. She said the diva’s moves in the original song were iconic and no one can come close to them.

Going by Jacqueline’s sizzling moves in chartbusters such as Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Sau Tarah Ke, Lat Lag Gayi, Sooraj Dooba Hai and Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12, we are sure this one too will be a treat to watch.

A well-planned promotional gig for David Dhawan's upcoming comedy, 'Judwaa 2', turned awry when two members of a group of 100 special invites misbehaved with Jacqueline Fernandez.

The group, comprising 50 pairs of real-life twins from across the country who had been selected following a Twitter contest, were hosted at a suburban five-star hotel a day prior to 'Judwaa 2' trailer launch. One of them, on condition of anonymity, told mid-day that they were meant to be a part of the launch, and were even promised 30 minutes with the star cast, including Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The contestant said, "The plan was amended after a few male contestants from the group crossed the line of decency. An over-enthusiastic pair barged past the security, nudging aside the bodyguards, and got to Jacqueline. They wanted to click selfies with her and tried to get uncomfortably close. She tried to oblige, but, their aggression must have put her off."

Varun Dhawan is said to have taken matters into his own hands. "The two were asked to leave and our original plan of activity, cancelled. The rest of us were disappointed, but we understood that the call that was taken was an essential one."

However, the actors didn't allow the unfortunate incident to dampen spirits. They entertained, and Dhawan even danced for his fans, replicating a step from the rehashed song, 'Tan Tana Tan'.

To ensure that the other twin contestants did not get the short end of the stick, the trio met them at the hotel. A production unit hand said, "They didn't want the others to feel dejected and thus, all the activity scheduled at PVR Juhu was shifted to Novotel, where the winners were put up. The actors spent quality time with fans while shooting for digital promos."

The unit decided against taking legal action against the miscreants, who, a source said, were immediately booked on a flight home.

mid-day reached out to Fernandez and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for a comment, but they remained unavailable till the time of going to press.

She’s wearing a bikini after a while and it is to promote her soon-to-be-released film Brothers. In the film, she plays a totally deglam and demure character; a wife and mother to an ailing child. But the Vogue India photoshoot has her flirting with the camera — sculpted body in a racy swimsuit — with homme fatale Akshay Kumar. In this photospread shot at a poolside of a hotel, Akshay and Jackie seem perfectly at ease with each other and the sizzling chemistry between the on-screen couple makes it even more visually arresting.

In another image, they are lying on a bed and look every bit the moony husband and wife.
