Jacqueline Fernandez began her career playing the bubbly girl-next-door on screen, then came a few glamour-puss roles that saw her in swimwear for a short stretch. An image makeover followed when former boyfriend Sajid Khan didn’t approve of her revealing skin in photoshoots or films and expected her to be covered up all the time. Now that she’s single, she’s broken free of these ‘restrictions’.

She’s wearing a bikini after a while and it is to promote her soon-to-be-released film Brothers. In the film, she plays a totally deglam and demure character; a wife and mother to an ailing child. But the Vogue India photoshoot has her flirting with the camera — sculpted body in a racy swimsuit — with homme fatale Akshay Kumar. In this photospread shot at a poolside of a hotel, Akshay and Jackie seem perfectly at ease with each other and the sizzling chemistry between the on-screen couple makes it even more visually arresting.
