HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had a low first week of 16.75 crore nett as it could not really hold up well on the weekdays and this will probably reflect in the second week collections as it will probably drop off. The film had a decent hold on Monday but that was probably some leftovers from Raksha Bandhan as it was mass centers holding best like Rajasthan and CI when its not really for those markets.

HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI released in 2016 had a first week of 17.50 crore nett and its a difference of 75 lakhs nett and if we take into account the new tax system with GST, then that gap easily goes to over 1 crore nett. HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI had decent holds in week two and week three to reach 28 crore nett and while in the case of HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI, it seems even 25 crore nett is difficult.

The film fared best in East Punjab with around 2.60 crore nett in the first week but it could not sustain in the circuit after a decent start. Delhi/UP was next at around 4.25 crore nett.

GENIUS had a poor first week of 4.75 crore nett though some low collecting single screens in UP, Bihar, CP Berar and CI did not collect too badly but these can hardly alter the larger picture unless they are extraordinary and get full house occupancy. But then other places will also be doing well if collections are so high in these single screens.

The film is out of most these single screen as well in week two and will probably just about cross the 5 crore nett mark in its lifetime run.

There were a few other releases last week like BADLA HINDUSTAN KA, BLUE JEANS BLUE, KARIM MOHAMMED etc but no awareness meant no collections.

HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI is just about doing decent business on the weekdays as it collected 1.50 crore nett on day one. This takes the total of the film to 14.50 crore nett and it looks a 17 crore nett first week for the film.

The first film in the franchise had collected 17.50 crore nett which practically rules out any chance that HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had of matching its predecessor. The target now is some respectable second week collections and that will depend on where it lands on Friday.

HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had a fair hold on Monday as it picked up 1.75 crore nett which has taken the business to 13 crore nett. There may have been some leftover from Raksha Bandhan as some mass centres have seen better collections than the first day. Circuits like Rajasthan and CI are up from day one and many cities in UP have higher collections than day one.

It remains to be seen what happens over the course of the week and more crucially the second Friday. There will competition on Friday but its not as if HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI needs huge footfalls on the second Friday. Even with just 1 lakh people turning up it should get a decent final number and that can easily be achieved with competition of big films and here the competition is small and mid level films.

HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI remained low over the weekend with 11.25 crore nett though there has been a growth in collections from Friday. There was solid growth on Saturday and the Sunday got an extra lift as it was Raksha Bandhan and some places like Rajasthan and CI saw huge gains. East Punjab which started pretty well has not managed to grow much over the weekend and this film probably hold most appeal in that circuit. This puts a doubt whether the film can sustain as well as the last installment of the this franchise.

HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had good growth of 50% on Saturday as it collected in the 3.75-4 crore nett region. This has taken the business of the film to around 6.50 crore nett range. The film is doing similar business to the last film of this franchise but it may not hold as well as that film in the long term.

There is growth on Saturday but it could be because most places opened very low on day one. East Punjab which had better collections on day one did not show much growth which could mean it was just a case of catch up on Saturday at most places which showed good growth.

HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had a low first day collecting in the 2.50-2.75 crore nett range with East Punjab recording the best collections followed by Delhi/UP. The film is a sequel to HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI which released in 2016 and collected 2.29 crore nett on day one.

The sequel has not gained much in terms of initial figures and considering the Tax factor which was higher in 2016 and ticket rates which are higher now in 2018, it is probably likely that the footfalls of HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI (2018) are lower than HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI (2016).

The film will get growth on Saturday which has become the norm and it has been observed that even 50-60% growth nowadays does not mean a strong Monday when a couple of years back this sort of growth ensured a good sustained run.
