HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had a low first day collecting in the 2.50-2.75 crore nett range with East Punjab recording the best collections followed by Delhi/UP. The film is a sequel to HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI which released in 2016 and collected 2.29 crore nett on day one.

The sequel has not gained much in terms of initial figures and considering the Tax factor which was higher in 2016 and ticket rates which are higher now in 2018, it is probably likely that the footfalls of HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI (2018) are lower than HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI (2016).

The film will get growth on Saturday which has become the norm and it has been observed that even 50-60% growth nowadays does not mean a strong Monday when a couple of years back this sort of growth ensured a good sustained run. The other film GENIUS fared poorly with collections in the range of 65-70 lakhs nett. UP and Bihar were little a better especially the single screens but SATYAMEVA JAYATE held back its single screen as that film still has the best single screens
