HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI had a low first week of 16.75 crore nett as it could not really hold up well on the weekdays and this will probably reflect in the second week collections as it will probably drop off. The film had a decent hold on Monday but that was probably some leftovers from Raksha Bandhan as it was mass centers holding best like Rajasthan and CI when its not really for those markets.

HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI released in 2016 had a first week of 17.50 crore nett and its a difference of 75 lakhs nett and if we take into account the new tax system with GST, then that gap easily goes to over 1 crore nett. HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI had decent holds in week two and week three to reach 28 crore nett and while in the case of HAPPY PHIRR BHAG JAYEGI, it seems even 25 crore nett is difficult.

The film fared best in East Punjab with around 2.60 crore nett in the first week but it could not sustain in the circuit after a decent start. Delhi/UP was next at around 4.25 crore nett.

GENIUS had a poor first week of 4.75 crore nett though some low collecting single screens in UP, Bihar, CP Berar and CI did not collect too badly but these can hardly alter the larger picture unless they are extraordinary and get full house occupancy. But then other places will also be doing well if collections are so high in these single screens.

The film is out of most these single screen as well in week two and will probably just about cross the 5 crore nett mark in its lifetime run.

There were a few other releases last week like BADLA HINDUSTAN KA, BLUE JEANS BLUE, KARIM MOHAMMED etc but no awareness meant no collections.
