BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 will see its first weekly drop in week six as it collected around 1.25 crore nett. The film would be standing at around 181 crore nett after six weeks and is looking at a close of around 182 crore nett.

The outperformance for the film has come in West Bengal where a comedy film has crossed the 10 crore nett mark for the first time in history. The film is said to be a horror comedy but that horror factor is very limited. The next best is CI where generally Kartik Aaryan films tend to do better.

In North India (Delhi/UP, East Punjab) it is the second highest grossing comedy film ever after GOOD NEWWZ. The film will settle with a 55 crore nett plus number in Mumbai circuit and around 46 crore nett in Delhi/UP.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had a very good fifth week of 7.25 crore nett. But it did see drops post the fifth weekend and this is probably the first time that the film has shown noticeable drops since its started its run five weeks back.

It has been a huge run for the as it stands at around 180 crore nett after five weeks and there well be another 3-5 crore nett to come. The fifth week number of the film may just about be in the top ten fifth weeks though it should have comfortably got here if it was not for the drops post Monday. BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 has done 55 crore nett in Mumbai and 45 crore nett in Delhi/UP so far.

The new release this week, NIKAMMA, was poor with very low collections on weekdays as it grossed around 1.75 crore nett over its first week. The film had a very South feel to it and that is reflected in the collections of the film.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 collected an excellent 5 crore nett in its fifth weekend to take its total to 177.50 crore nett and it is looking a huge fifth week total which will be there among the top ten fifth weeks ever. This will mean three of top fifth weeks ever have come in the last few months as KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) and RRR (Hindi) also made it into this list.

This has mainly happened due to the lack of competition in terms of other good films which is allowing longer run for the appreciated films. BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 saw a streaming release this week but that will not affect the collections of the film and it will continue on a normal trajectory until the release of JUGJUGG JEEYO this week.

The new release this week NIKAMMA took a beating as it grossed around 1.25 crore nett over its first weekend. The film collected around 35-40 lakhs nett on day one and growth was not there over the weekend. There was no face value.  So any sort of decent opening numbers were always unlikely.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is heading for a huge fifth week which could compare with films like DANGAL, KABIR SINGH and TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR as collections remains rock steady. The film did not see a drop on its fifth Friday as collections remained similar to Thursday with 1 crore nett.

This takes total collections of the film to 173.50 crore nett and now it looks like the film is heading for an 185 crore nett finish. This also now means it will beat SOORYAVANSHI all over India except Mumbai, CP Berar, Nizam/Andhra, Assam and Odisha. Basically apart from Assam, its the block where South films have a better market and Rohit Shetty films outperform in this block.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is going to set a target for all other Hindi films this year and normally this 185 crore odd would hardly be a target but as content is generally behind the times, there will not be many films which will have even a chance to surpass this target. Hopefully a couple of films surpass the 200 crore nett mark this year but it would be no surprise if it did not happen. But better results await next year as the fresher content arrives.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is heading for a very good fourth week in the 11 crore nett plus range as it continues to hold well. The total collections of the film stand at around 169 crore nett till now and it its looking an 180 crore nett apprx close for the film. The fourth week numbers of the film will be among the top fifteen of all time and comfortably ahead of the likes of SOORYAVANSHI and GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI. They will not be that far short of RRR (Hindi) which did around 13.50 crore nett.

The collections are superb all over with CI and West Bengal leading the way. The collections in both these circuits will be the highest for a comedy film as it beats GOLMAAL AGAIN in CI and HOUSEFULL 4 in West Bengal. The film has a slight horror feel and Bengali touch with some of the characters which has pushed the films in West Bengal. It will cross the 10 crore nett mark in West Bengal where comedies do struggle. HOUSEFULL 4 was around 8 crore nett and GOLMAAL AGAIN was even less.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had superb hold on its fourth Friday as collections hardly dropped from the day before as some stations reported higher collections than the Thursday and this is despite JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION releasing this week. The film has collected 1.50 crore nett taking its total to 161.50 crore nett.

The 175 crore nett total is now pretty easy for the film as it should show huge jumps on Saturday and Sunday. The fourth week can go to double digits with a 10 crore nett total. The failure of most films is meaning the better films are getting longer sustained runs now.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 has emerged a BLOCKBUSTER film as it remains super steady on the weekdays of its third week. The film still has legs and now should go past the 175 crore nett mark as SAMRAT PRITHVIRAJ has not performed well, leaving the Hindi market to BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 for the next few weeks.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had another strong week as it collected 20 crore nett apprx taking its three week total to 160 crore nett apprx. The third week numbers are better than GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI and SOORYAVANSHI and behind only THE KASHMIR FILES for original Hindi content which did around 29 crore nett in week three. But it will have a chance to beat the fourth week numbers of THE KASHMIR FILES depending on the Friday hold. Again the film will be very strong on Saturday and Sunday. 

The film is heading for a lifetime total around the 175 crore nett mark as the film gets benefit of the films around it not working. This has been the story this year as films which get accepted hold for a longer period while the rejected ones see lights go out much faster than pre pandemic times. BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 has also fared very well Overseas especially in Australia and Canada.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is also the first BLOCKBUSTER for original Hindi content since TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR in 2020. There was THE KASHMIR FILES which was bigger than BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 but that film worked in a different way at the box office and did not get to the level it got organically. 

The footfalls of the film could also edge past SOORYAVANSHI depending on where the film eventually goes. The multiplex footfalls will go past SOORYAVANSHI is a few days but there is a big difference in the footfalls from single screens.

There have been so many films which have been saved from major losses by satellite and digital with 83 the one to go wrong and despite good business even SOORYAVANSHI and GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI needed support from satellite and digital to get minor profits. Here BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 will cover cost of production, PA and interest costs from its worldwide theatrical share alone.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 saw excellent growth of 60% on its third Saturday to collect around 4.50 crore nett which has taken the film to a total of 147 crore nett plus. The film is maintaining strong collections all over despite the release of SAMRAT PRITHVIRAJ.

The film is easily the biggest HIT from the Hindi film industry post the pandemic as though it wont beat the business of SOORYAVANSHI, it is a far bigger HIT as the costs are far lower in this film. BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 will clear the 50 crore nett mark in Mumbai and the 40 crore nett mark in Delhi/UP by the end of its third week.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 continues to do well on its third Friday showing a 30% drop from Thursday despite the release of SAMRAT PRITHVIRAJ. The drop from last Friday is only 55% as well which is excellent. The total box office of the film is now around 143 crore nett and it has chances to finish close to the 175 crore nett mark.

It is will be fourth highest grossing comedy film after HOUSEFULL 4, GOLMAAL AGAIN and GOOD NEWWZ but all these were before the pandemic.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 did excellent business in the second week as it grossed 47 crore nett apprx taking its two week total to 138 crore nett. The drop from the first week is 48% which is fantastic. SOORYAVANSHI had collected 45.60 crore nett in the first week and GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI was 34.64 crore nett.

The lifetime business of the film depends on where the film lands up on the third Friday but it should be able to go upwards of 160 crore nett on a worse case scenario. The biggest comedy grossers ever are HOUSEFULL 4 and GOLMAAL AGAIN at 200 crore nett plus. Although those numbers are out of reach, it will become the fourth highest grossing comedy film after HOUSEFULL 4, GOLMAAL AGAIN and GOOD NEWWZ. The genre has only four films above the 150 crore nett mark and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 will be the fifth one.

The outperformance of the film has come in CI as the film stands at 6.25 crore nett and it will cruise past the SOORYAVANSHI numbers here over the weekend. GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI's lifetime it had cleared in this circuit in 8 days. Kartik Aaryan films tend to outperform in CI and that can be seen with SONU KE TITU KI SWEETY, LUKA CHUPPI, PATI PATNI AUR WOH and now BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2. The Anees Bazmee-directorial also crossed the $2 million mark in US/Canada in two weeks which is huge for a film like this.

The film has also crossed the SOORYAVANSHI numbers in Delhi/UP which makes that circuit the second one to go above SOORYAVANSHI after East Punjab. It is possible that all circuits except Mumbai and the South ones can go above SOORYAVANSHI or will be very close at the least. The lifetime business of the film is probably looking to be in the 160-170 range.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had an outstanding hold on Monday as the film dropped less than 15% on its second Monday compared to its second Friday. The film collected 5.50 crore nett taking its lifetime total to 125 crore nett.

The second week of the film will be the best for original Hindi content as it will beat the second week numbers of SOORYAVANSHI. The dubbed South films KGF - CHAPTER 2 and RRR have higher second weekend numbers.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 also has similar business to GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI after eleven days. It is lagging GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI mainly in Mumbai and South but should go ahead in Mumbai by the end of its run though in South, it will probably remain less.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 recorded a second weekend of almost 30 crore nett which is a 45% drop off from last week. The film showed huge growth on Saturday but Sunday probably got hit by the IPL final and growth generally was weak for all releases though BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 by far had the best growth.

The film now stands at 120 crore nett and should comfortably cross the 150 crore nett mark. The numbers of GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI should be beaten over the next two days while it has beaten the lifetime numbers of SOORYAVANSHI in East Punjab. Delhi/UP will follow before the end of the week. It could even beat the lifetime numbers of SOORYAVANSHI in CI which would be pretty insane.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had an outstanding Saturday as collections showed a huge jump and collected around the 11 crore nett mark. This takes the film to 107 crore nett and now it looks certain to cross the 150 crore nett mark.

The jump was across the board and even Hindi belt circuits were showing huge growth while the bigger multiplexes are a given on Saturday. Some cinemas were more than double of Friday in the bigger cities. This huge growth on Saturday may mean less growth on Sunday but a 30 crore nett second weekend should be there at a minimum and that is the highest for original Hindi content post pandemic beating SOORYAVANSHI.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had a good hold on its second Friday as it collected 6.25 crore nett which is a 15% drop from the previous day. The film collected very strongly post the afternoon probably because the reports of the other films were not up to the mark and BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 became the first choice.

The second week numbers of SOORYAVANSHI were 45 crore nett and this film can actually challenge that number depending on how the weekend growth is. SOORYAVANSHI has the highest second weekend for original Hindi films post pandemic. Only RRR and KGF - CHAPTER 2 have managed higher numbers. It will be no surprise if BHOOL BHULAIYAA surpasses the numbers of SOORYAVANSHI in the second week.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had an excellent first week as it grossed 90 crore nett plus. The hold for the film were fantastic over the weekdays though some mass pockets did see drops on Wednesday and Thursday. But this was bound to happen as Monday and Tuesday levels were similar to Friday.

The film has seen very good collections all over with South being the underperformer though this is the normal for a Hindi mass comedy. The other underperformer is normally East but here the horror factor in the film has worked in its favour there especially in West Bengal as that genre has more takers in that part of the country.

The film is likely to cross the business of SONU KE TITU KI SWEETY on Saturday to become the highest grosser for Kartik Aaryan. However, its not really about that but more about can it get over the 150 crore nett mark and for that it will probably need a 40 crore nett second week which is possible.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 had another solid day as it collected 8.25 crore nett taking its total to 83 crore nett. The trend remains strong over the weekdays as these are minimal drops with good collections. The Hindi circuits remain strong although there was a bigger drop here on Wednesday. But that had to happen as on Monday and Tuesday, the collections were more or less on par with Friday.

The first week is looking at a 90.50 crore nett total but its the second week where the film can really score well. SOORYAVANSHI collected 45 crore nett in its second week and that is the best second week for an original Hindi film and if BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 can get a good hold on Friday, it will have a chance to challenge that number.

The lifetime number is dependent on where the Friday lands.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 continued to show excellent trending on the weekdays as it grossed 9.50 crore nett on Tuesday to take its overall total to almost 75 crore nett. The holds in mass markets were much better than the overall total suggests as again Gujarat/Saurashtra and CI hardly saw any drops and collections in these places are pretty much close to the Friday levels.

The film has managed to collect more than GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI on the Tuesday which collected 9.3 crore nett and that was due to a holiday for Mahashivratri while here 9.50 crore nett has come on a normal day. BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 is also beating the SOORYAVANSHI in some circuits over the weekdays and it is most likely that it will beat lifetime numbers of that film in some circuits. Mumbai and South it will not but many of the others are a possibility.  

The first week is probably heading for a 91 crore nett first week total In India and after a good weekend in overseas, it is holding well in overseas also putting it on course for a possible $5 million lifetime total which is huge for this cast.
