BATLA HOUSE has done well in its extended first week with collections of 59.50 crore nett in eight days. The first day collections of the film could have been better but it has managed to sustain well after the big national holiday on day one.
The collections are a little lesser than SATYAMEVA JAYATE last year as that film did 59.35 crore nett in seven days while this is doing it in eight days but there is a good chance that BATLA HOUSE will do better than that film after the first week. The film can emerge a HIT if it holds well in the second and the lack of competition should enable it to do that. The best numbers are in the Delhi NCR belt and UP was also good in the extended weekend.
The first eight day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 59,50,00,000 apprx
---------------------------------
BATLA HOUSE got the benefit of Janmashtami on its second Friday as collections improved compared to the Thursday. The film picked up 3.75 crore nett which is a good number for the second Friday. Obviously the number is aided by Janmashtami so the growth on Saturday will not be like it normally is. But it should easily be able to do a double digit weekend which SATYAMEVA JAYATE could not do in its whole second week last year. The growth on Janmashtami was not as much as MISSION MANGAL which went up more than 20%.
The film continues to be best in Delhi NCR with Mumbai city also showing pretty good numbers. The nine day total is 63 crore nett plus and it does look like the film will cross the lifetime business of SATYAMEVA JAYATE which is the highest John Abraham solo grosser.
There will be a competition next week due to the release of SAAHO but the film should have crossed the 75 crore nett mark by then at least.
The collections of BATLA HOUSE till date are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
Week One - 59,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 3,75,00,000
TOTAL - 63,25,00,000 apprx

BATLA HOUSE continued its steady run with collections at mid level as it collected around 3.75 crore nett to take its first seven day total to 56 crore nett. It is the second best collections ever for a John Abraham solo starrer after SATYAMEVA JAYATE in the first week. It is way ahead of the lifetime ROMEO AKBAR WALTER and should cover the business of PARMANU over the next few days.
The extended first week of days is looking to 59 crore nett plus and then its about the legs it has. It is almost a completely open week with only competition being THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 2 which is a Hollywood animation film and will have a limited metro kids and family audience on Saturday and Sunday and that audience will not really overlap with this film. So there should be a good hold on Friday and a good second week total but that second Friday is hard gauge as sometimes films with no competition drop and others with competition remain steady.
The first seven day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 56,00,00,000 apprx

BATLA HOUSE remains steady on Tuesday with collections of 4.25 crore nett which is 5-6% drop from Monday. The six day numbers are a decent 52.50 crore nett and due to steady collections there is a chance the film will do good business in the final count.
The film has not really given competition to MISSION MANGAL but Tuesday is the closest its ever been to that film since they released and if it can keep on cutting the gap and remaining steady like this, it will emerge a HIT film.
The numbers till date are lower than last year's SATYAMEVA JAYATE but its holding far better than that film on the weekdays. That film even had a holiday in the weekdays which helped it to good numbers for the Mon-Thu period but on the second Friday onward BATLA HOUSE should start cutting that SATYAMEVA JAYATE lead fast.
The first six day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 52,25,00,000 apprx

BATLA HOUSE had a good hold with collections falling around 40% from the Friday with collections of 4.50 crore nett. This takes the film to 48 crore nett and the extended first week could go to 59-60 crore nett and then it depends where the second Friday lands.
The film has done well to be in this position considering how it opened on Thursday morning. The film actually looked a goner with its first shows collections doing 25-30% of MISSION MANGAL but it picked up on Independence Day and has managed to find an audience. The film is doing its best business in Delhi/UP while Mumbai circuit has managed to hold fairly well, the fall come in Gujarat but Mumbai and Pune have held pretty well.
The film has shown a lesser fall than MISSION MANGAL on Monday as the numbers are much lower than that film but if it can continue with this trend then the film can get closer to that film as far as the daily business is concerned.
The first five day figures of Batla House are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 48,00,00,000 apprx
The target for the film is to probably cross or finish in the range of SATYAMEVA JAYATE which did around 80 crore nett and if there is a solid second Friday hold there is a chance of that happening

BATLA HOUSE has had a decent extended weekend grossing around 43.50 crore nett over the first four days. The film has recovered well on Saturday and Sunday after the drop on Friday. The Sunday figure of 12 crore nett is good especially as its the fourth day and not the third day.
The problem for the film is that the film is not doing that well in Mumbai circuit. The all India collections were just 20% down from day one but an area like Gujarat was 30% down when Sunday is normally very strong for Gujarat/Saurashtra. The film is doing better in Delhi/UP and if both Mumbai and Delhi/UP can hold well on Monday that should be enough for the film.
Delhi/UP looks like it can hold and so its all on how Mumbai circuit hold through the weekdays. The clash and holiday factor has helped hugely as with a solo non holiday release it is unlikely this film could have put up these numbers.
The first four day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 43,50,00,000 apprx
Last year SATYAMEVA JAYATE had grossed around 52 crore nett over its extended five day weekend so BATLA HOUSE is behind that. But it does have chances to make ground over time as SATYAMEVA JAYATE did not hold well in the second week.

BATLA HOUSE did well on Saturday as it collected 9.50 crore nett to take its three day total to 31.50 crore nett. The film showed growth of around 30% on Saturday which is good especially as its not the second day but the third day.
The three day business is a little short of SATYAMEVA JAYATE which did 35 crore nett over the first three days last year but this is mainly because of the first day and the film is actually trending better than that film. The business in Maharashtra, Nizam/Andhra and CP, CI is less than SATYAMEVA JAYATE but in Mumbai city, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore the numbers are on par or more.
The Monday number is crucial for this film and looking at the trend at multiplexes there is a chance that the film can have a good hold at multiplexes and then can benefit with the clean run till end of August.
The first three day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 31,50,00,000 apprx
The film has grossed around 10.50 crore nett in Mumbai circuit and around 8.50 crore nett in Delhi/UP circuit so far.

BATLA HOUSE had a decent second day of 7.50 crore nett which is a drop of around 50% from the first day and can be called normal trending. The collections should be a little higher but still these are decent results as long as the film gains good momentum on Saturday and Sunday.
The film had its best performance in UP single screens on the first day as some of these were on par with MISSION MANGAL and the biggest fall is here possibly as its after the holiday. The multiplexes have generally fallen in the 45% range.
The film could have done with better business in Mumbai circuit as the figures are noticeably lower than SATYAMEVA JAYATE in Mumbai but the film is looking to do better than that film in Delhi/UP. The film really needs a solid Monday and that will be the key if the film is to succeed.
The two day figures of BATLA HOUSE are as follows.
Thursday - 14,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 22,00,00,000 apprx
The second day numbers of BATLA HOUSE are actually better than the second day numbers of SATYAMEVA JAYATE but the fact it is a Friday rather than a Thursday which was the case for SATYAMEVA JAYATE makes a little difference.
The overall two day numbers are around 4 crore nett less than SATYAMEVA JAYATE.
