ANGREZI MEDIUM collected just 9.35 crore nett apprx in week one and the film is a total goner as the film got unlucky as it got hit in the first weekend. The film could add some business when cinemas reopen but it will depend on the competition at the time. But with a under 10 crore nett week, there is nowhere the film can go.
BAAGHI 3 had a huge fall in week two as it collected just 6 crore nett in week two to take its total to 92.75 crore nett. Going by the Friday number and adding Delhi and Kerala to the Friday number number, it would have been a 17 crore nett week for the film if all went normal. This would have been a comfortable 100 crore nett plus film if the run did not get cut short.
The business of BAAGHI 3 till date is as follows.
Week One - 86,73,00,000
Week Two - 6,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 92,73,00,000 apprx
THAPPAD also had a huge fall in week three as it collected under 50 lakhs nett. If it was a normal week then the film could have collected around 1.75 crore nett which would have been enough to take it over 30 crore nett but hardly makes a difference to the final result of the film.
The collections THAPPAD till date are as follows.
Week One - 20,89,00,000
Week Two - 8,51,00,000
Week Three - 40,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 29,80,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 added 20 lakhs nett on Monday and then cinemas across the country shut on Tuesday. This has left the film on a little over 92.50 crore nett and whether it can add to this depends on what happens when cinemas re - open.
The film has remained well short of 100 crore nett due to the Coronavirus scenario and that mark looks very difficult now. There would be a chance if there is no new release when cinemas open and BAAGHI 3 gets close to the number of screens it was playing on over the weekend. But what the scenario will be when cinemas open is an unknown.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Week One - 86,73,00,000
Friday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 20,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 5,95,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 92,68,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 saw a huge drop in collections in the second weekend as the Coronavirus scare has led to cinemas shutting down. The film collected 2.25 crore nett on Friday but collections went down over the weekend though Sunday managed to hold despite the closure of cinemas in some states on Sunday. The film would have done a 20 crore nett week if everything was normal which would have put in line for HIT status with a 115 crore nett plus finish but now that is just a dream.
The film did still managed to collect well in UP and Gujarat over the weekend and it had a 20 lakh nett plus number in Bihar on Saturday which was good but cinemas shut there on Saturday. The closure in Gujarat/Saurashtra will hit bad on Monday and collections could fall below 50 lakh nett.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Week One - 86,73,00,000
Friday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 5,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 92,48,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 dropped on Saturday due to the Coronavirus effect on state governments shutting cinemas in various states. The film collected around 1.75 crore nett on day two to take its nine day total to 91 crore nett. The film may not have improved like it should have but it was still cruising to a 100 crore nett plus number but now that is up in the air.
The way things are going, there will be more states closing down which will bring the business down further and the 100 crore nett mark will probably depend about what happens when cinemas reopen and will BAAGHI 3 be played then. The little plus for the film is that the best areas of the film UP and Gujarat/Saurashtra are still playing and today these two alone will give the film around 1 crore nett combined. It could even be more than 1 crore nett.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,75,00,000 apprx
Week One - 87,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 2,15,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 91,15,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 had a big drop in collections on Friday as it collected 2-2.25 crore nett which takes it total business to 89.50 crore nett. The film had a huge fall in collections in the multiplexes but places like UP, Rajasthan, MP and Gujarat/Saurashtra have contributed almost 1.25 crore nett and such a contribution is very rare for any film.
The drop in collections does mean that the film will not find it hard to become an outright hit as it needed to be 3 crore nett plus on its second Friday but it is still on course to be an AVERAGE/SEMI HIT film unless closure of cinemas makes it difficult for the film to collect over the next week or so.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,75,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 had a good first week with collections of 87 crore nett plus and it managed to hold well over the weekdays though Holi helped it places. But even allowing for Holi, the holds were good considering its an action film and one that has only really done well at mass centres.
There was a drop on Thursday as the film came out of Holi period though UP was adding a little extra to the collections on Thursday as well. The collections in UP were better on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday compared to Monday due to Holi. Wednesday saw a huge jump in UP which really helped the all the India collections. The film is the second success of the year after TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR and a decent number on Friday will see it emerge a HIT but the danger will be more states shutting theatres like Delhi, Jammu and Kerala have done.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 13,50,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 had a good hold on Wednesday as it collected 7-7.25 crore nett which is 20% down from Monday after the big holiday on Tuesday. There is some Holi lag as collections in some centers of UP, MP and Bihar hold strongly but eventually these will go to normal levels either today or tomorrow. The film has seen Gujarat/Saurashtra come out of Holi and collections have gone to normal levels in the state. Wednesday is a crucial day as it normally sees a drop but as it was a holiday week its playing out differently for BAAGHI 3.
The total collections of the film are now 82 crore nett plus and the first week will yield good results of 87-88 crore nett. Then it will be down to the crucial second Friday to see if the film becomes a HIT or not. There is ANGREZI MEDIUM for competition but that looks a film which only has chances in some metros and BAAGHI 3 is not doing that well in metros anyway. The film could easily be better than ANGREZI MEDIUM in week two across all mass centres in the country.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,25,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 did very well on Holi as it collected 13.50 crore nett which is a jump of 50% from the previous day. The film was strong across mass areas on Tuesday and some of these places could hold on Wednesday due to the Holi leftover though the majority of places across the country will see a fall. The pick up came post 1 pm on Holi which is the normal scenario and collections before 1 pm were less than the previous day.
The total collections of the film are now 75 crore nett and the film is on course to emerge a HIT but a lot depends on what happens over the next three days. There will be a fall on Wednesday and the crucial day will be on Friday because if the film can get a decent second Friday it will be job done. There will be competition from ANGREZI MEDIUM but that is unlikely to challenge BAAGHI 3 in mass markets as its a multiplex film for the metros where BAAGHI 3 is not too strong anyway.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 13,50,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 has had a good first weekend of 52.75 crore nett. The film has the baggage of an extraordinary 72 crore nett weekend of the last film of the franchise but as a standalone film these numbers for the first weekend are good.
The Sunday number of nearly 20 crore nett is solid result for the film considering it had clocked up just 15.50 crore nett on Saturday. It was not going to be an easy task to get over the first day business on Sunday but the film has managed that comfortably. The issue facing the film is very average response in the bigger cities be it a Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or Chandigarh while collections in places like Patna, Surat, Agra and Bhopal are good and even very good.
Its not multiplex or single screen specific in these places, the multiplexes in Patna and Surat have scored as well as the single screen. The problem lies in the 200-300 bigger multiplexes where there are higher ticket rates and its these which could have added another 8-10 crore nett to the weekend box office if they had performed.
There is the Holi period from Monday onward with the big holiday falling on Tuesday which will see very strong occupancy from the afternoon shows. The film could have got a Monday boost at metros as its a holiday the next day day but the business of the film is not so good at these metros which may mean the normal Monday drop for the film.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 52,75,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------
BAAGHI 3 had a fair hold on Monday as it collected 8.75 crore nett. The drop on Monday is the regular 50% drop but its coming off a 17 crore nett plus total on day one which gives the film a solid Monday figures. The four day business of the film is now 61.50 crore nett.
The film is a success as it will get a good boost today and collections should easily go into double digits and it could even be at 75 crore nett after five days though a lot depends on the jump today. With 75 crore nett there in five days, its pretty certain the film is going over 100 crore nett which is enough for the film to be a success.
For the film to emerge a HIT, it has to do a little better and it will probably be the second Friday which will determine if the film can become a HIT. The film has scored very well in Gujarat/Saurashtra as it just 10% lower than BAAGHI 2 there while all the all India difference is around 25% after four days. The falls were more than 50% in West Bangal and Mysore but the franchise has not done too well in these circuits.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 61,50,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 saw a drop in collections of a little over 12% as mass centres saw the normal drops for an action film but the bigger multiplexes failed to show growth. The second day collections was 15.50 crore nett which takes the two day total of the film to 33 crore nett.
The two day numbers are still pretty good though not upto the level of the last film in the franchise. It is the metros and other places like Chandigarh and Jaipur where the collections are not what they should be. Bihar, CP Berar, Nizam/Andhra (Marathawada strong) are all doing well with Gujarat/Saurashtra being the best of the lot as that went up on Saturday.
The film is going to have a good three day weekend even if Sunday growth is just decent and this will be despite the trend not being so good. The fate of the film will not be known for a few days yet as its Holi on Monday and some states remain in holiday period post Holi. If the film does well for the next 3-4 days it will emerge a HIT film. The coincidence is that all three BAAGHI franchise films have dropped on day two.
The collections of BAAGHI 3 are as follows.
Friday - 17,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 33,00,00,000 apprx

BAAGHI 3 did pretty good business on day one as it collected 17.50 crore nett making it the biggest opening day of of the year. The film was probably hit by the Coronavirus news but that would be maybe around 10-15% but this news ensured that the film had little chance of hitting the 20 crore nett. The slowing down of ticket sales could be seen in the advance on Thursday.
The film was also the biggest release of the year hitting 4300 screens as it got the widest release ever in Tamil Nadu/Kerala for a Hindi film which is not dubbed in a South language. The film released in 120 cinemas in Kerala and almost 100 cinemas in Tamil Nadu. The cinemas in Kerala do not give high collections but Tiger Shroff has a following there and this can be seen by the releases and numbers of all his action films.
The best numbers of the film came in Gujarat/Saurashtra, CP Berar, Bihar and Odisha as smaller multiplexes and single screens recorded very good collections in these places. The collections in Delhi NCR, Punjab and Mumbai city were pretty much average and have scope for solid improvement over the next few days. It is Holi period so collections will be up and down in different states though its hard to tell how Holi will play out with the Coronavirus news around. The Holi holiday is on Monday and it will probably be Wednesday when it is all normal for the film.
Basically if the film can just sustain at normal levels from here, it will do well at the box office. If circuits like Delhi NCR and East Punjab jump then there is even more potential for the film.
The BAAGHI franchise has now seen solid initials for all three of its outings and the collections are as follows.
Baaghi - 11,93,00,000 (2750 screens)
Baaghi 2 (2018) - 25,00,00,000 (Good Friday) (3500 screens)
Baaghi 3 (2020) - 17,50,00,000 (4300 screens)
