Actor Kangana Ranaut’s latest spotting sent the internet into a frenzy after eagle-eyed netizens spotted a mangalsutra around her neck while she hurried out of Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy on Thursday, sparking rumours of a secret wedding.

However, the mystery now stands solved. We have learnt that the look was from her upcoming film Queen 2, for which she has already begun shooting in Mumbai. “Kangana had to rush out for a dentist appointment and didn’t get time to change out of costume,” a source tells us, adding, “She is not married. The mangalsutra was simply part of her look in the film.” The insider further reveals that Kangana was unaware paparazzi were waiting outside the venue.

Amid the growing speculation, Kangana also addressed the buzz on Friday through her social media, writing: “I am filming in and around the city every single day, some one clicked this random picture with character make up and now I am getting so many phone calls, but what is the big deal about the married woman look? Actors play all kinds of roles, I won’t marry secretly I promise.”

The viral spotting has now inadvertently confirmed that Queen 2 is officially underway. While the sequel is expected to revisit themes of self-discovery and independence, sources say it will not directly continue the original storyline. Unlike the first film, which unfolded largely across Europe, the sequel is reportedly being shot across multiple Indian cities.
