DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE ALL SET FOR A HISTORICAL START
Dhurandhar: The Revenge will be released exactly a week from now, Thursday, March 19. Meanwhile, on Friday, March 6, it came to light that the film will have paid previews from 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18. The much-awaited trailer of the film was dropped on Saturday, March 7, and immediately, the advance booking of the paid previews began in full force.
It was expected that the response to the ticket sales would be extraordinary, considering how Dhurandhar's first part fared. Yet, everyone was stunned to see shows getting full in no time. Moreover, the ticket rates are the highest ever. Every cinema hall is selling tickets at rates like never before and it's common to see several multiplexes charging Rs. 700, Rs. 800 and even Rs. 1600 and Rs. 2000 for a single ticket. Yet, every cinema hall is recording historic ticket sales.
At this rate, it won’t be wrong to state that Dhurandhar: The Revenge will collect more than Rs. 20 crores from the paid previews alone. This is historic as this has never happened before that a film crossed double digits in previews. The record paid preview grosser is Stree 2, which earned Rs. 8.75 crores, followed by Chennai Express at Rs. 6.75 crores. Dhurandhar: The Revenge, meanwhile, will be miles ahead, which yet again proves its unimaginable craze.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge will have a full-fledged release on Thursday, March 19. Hence, it’ll enjoy a four-day weekend and it’ll also have a Ram Navami holiday on March 26. In short, the sky's the limit for the film. A prediction about the Thursday number and weekend collection will be undertaken in the next edition of Fenil’s Bollywood Talk on the morning of Wednesday, March 18.
