BORDER 2 continued its good run on as it collected 5.25 crore nett on its second Monday. The drop is almost 50% from the second Friday but due to the discounted Tuesday, this has become the norm as some of the weekdays audience is now in a habit of watching on Tuesday due to lower rates. Even when there is no discounted rate, Tuesday still holds well.

BORDER 2 has not gone for the discounted rate but there is a lower rate as compared to a normal Tuesday and this should help the film on Tuesday. The film has around 52 crore nett in the second week so far and it will do business of around 65 crore nett in week two. This will be a good solid second week collection after an excellent first week.

The film remains excellent in the North as Delhi/UP will hit the 70 crore nett mark today while East Punjab is at around 35 crore nett. The film should do around 135 crore nett in North which is a BLOCKBUSTER collection but the other main area Mumbai/Gujarat has done a HIT number and its look tough to get higher though there is not much competition over the next 4-6 weeks. The lesser performers for the film are West Bengal and Nizam/Andhra.

BORDER 2 held well on Tuesday as it collected a similar collection to Monday. The film had lower rates than normal but not the usual discounted Tuesday rate. So, basically the drop, which would have come, was covered by the extra admits that lower rates bought. The film collected 5.25 crore nett on Tuesday which takes the collections of week two to 58 crore nett.

The film should be heading for a second week of around 66-67 crore nett which is a good collection and no doubt the weekend will see good collections again. The total collections of the film so far are 275 crore nett plus in 11 days.

BORDER 2 is closing on the 400 crore mark worldwide as collections stand at 390 crore after thirteen days. The overseas performance is very good in Australia and Canada while its good in UK. The business in USA is average and could have been better as here its unlikely to reach the collections of GADAR 2 while the other markets will beat the numbers of the 2023 film.

There is no Gulf here for the film and hence, lifetime will probably end up at a similar total though you can probably say this film would have done around $1.5 million in Gulf going by the collections of GADAR 2. In India, it less than GADAR 2 but overseas it will be better though it may not reflect much in overall number due to no release in Gulf.

In overseas, it will be among the top five films of 2025/26 with only DHURANDHAR, SAIYAARA, CHHAAVA and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR recording higher collections. If we take a fair value for Gulf then it would be better than SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR. The worldwide business of the film should close in the 450-475 crore range which will be a very good collection.

BORDER 2 had a good second weekend as it collected 66 crore nett which takes the film to almost 284 crore nett in two weeks. The drop is 70% from the first week but that is coming from a holiday weekend when a couple of days did huge business. The film seems to be having drops on Wednesday and is generally doing better on weekends.

There was a big drop last Wednesday this Wednesday as well which is making the weekday contribution less for the film. Its probably down to less youth support for the film and its these drops that are coming in the way of the film reaching blockbuster status. The looks like ending a SUPER HIT film and an organic one, not indulging in the practices used to inflate collections, which is common now.

The film will though emerge a BLOCKBUSTER in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar as all these places have excellent collections. In Rajasthan, the film will finish at the level of films like ANIMAL, JAWAN and PATHAAN with 24-25 crore nett though this is well off the highest figure in the circuit which was PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE with 47 crore nett.

BORDER 2 collected 3 crore nett on its third Friday which is a decent collection. The film has seen a drop from Thursday and considering no major release, it could have held better. The business should go back to the good levels on Saturday and Sunday. The film has support of the family audiences in these semi metros like Jaipur, Lucknow. Patna etc which is pushing the weekend collections.

The film now stands at 287 crore nett and is getting closer to that 300 crore nett mark which could come over the weekend depending on the growth on Saturday and Sunday. The job is done for the film but as its a slow period of releases until Eid, you would hope the film can hang around till then and keeping on adding to the total.
