DHURANDHAR collected 2 crore nett on its sixth Monday showing another good hold from its Friday collections. The film has already collected 16.50 crore nett in the first four days of week six and it will easily go over 20 crore nett which will be another record as the highest sixth week collection is STREE 2 at 17 crore nett. This had a huge contribution from National Cinema Day, which contributed around 25% of the week collections.

The records have fallen for DHURANDHAR from week two until week six and maybe another one to come in week seven. The total so far stands at 760 crore nett and it can add another 20 crore nett from here. The top performers will be Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Mysore while the lesser performance will come in Mumbai, Nizam/Andhra and West Bengal.

The lesser performance is in context as compared to other places and does not mean its low or anything. Mumbai is probably looking at a 235-240 crore nett finish and here it will be behind PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE and CHHAAVA. It maybe the only circuit where it is 100% certain it will not be in top two. The likes of Nizam / Andhra and West Bengal may still make it into top two.

DHURANDHAR has crossed the 1200 crore mark worldwide as stands at 1214 crore after 40 days and will be looking at a close in the 1250 crore range. This will be around 200 crore more than JAWAN and PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE which did around 1050 crore in their Hindi versions. It is easily the biggest Hindi film worldwide.

If we count all versions then obviously there are films which are higher with DANGAL leading at 2000 crore followed by BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION at 1800 crore while PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE is at around 1675 crore. But this is not the comparison as these films had far wider releases and various formats which are dubbed, subtitled and chopped and changed to suit the needs of various markets. The latter is mainly for Far Eastern markets where DANGAL and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION did reach. This will not happen with DHURANDHAR as its a patriotic film.

For DHURANDHAR, this is coming without Gulf and its difficult to say exactly how much the film would have collected in Gulf but you have to give its a range of $10-15 mllion. Taking this into account, it can be said that the worldwide gross would have been at least 1350 crore if Gulf had a release.  DHURANDHAR may not be reaching the markets which the likes of DANGAL and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION reached but there is DHURANDHAR2 coming to challenge the higher collections. This part is likely to be released in multiple versions.

DHURANDHAR will end up with 1250 crore worldwide easily making it the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide beating the figures of JAWAN and PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE with PATHAAN and STREE 2 making up the other two films in the top five.

No doubt the business in India is remarkable but the greater feat is in overseas being a patriotic film as these have a lesser audience in Overseas or lets say did have a lesser audience until DHURANDHAR. This is because people from other countries form a big chunk of the overseas audience and this audience, which consists of migrants from other Asian countries, keeps away from patriotic Hindi films especially those from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

DHURANDHAR also manages to get into the top five when compared with films which were released in many formats and versions in India and across the world alongside the original film. Here, DANGAL leads by a good margin as it's the only film over 2000 crore and then you have three South Indian films in the list. 

Again here it has to be noted that DHURANDHAR is the only film in ONE version and format. It is the original film which has done these numbers unlike the other films. It may not be able to travel like the others due to that patriotic factor but its the Hindi statistics which really matter to the industry as films are not green lighted assuming they will break out be into the South or globally.

DHURANDHAR had another record week of 23.50 crore nett showing a drop of less than 50% which now takes the film to 768 crore nett. The previous record for week 6 was by STREE 2 as that film had URI. The latter is interestingly from the same director of DHURANDHAR.

The holds were excellent over the weekdays, helped by minor holidays in various states, and it does not seem like the film is stopping just yet with another strong week on the cards. There are no words to describe the business of this film in Mysore as it heads for a 70 crore nett plus finish. Just to put this number into perspective is that it will end up 20-25 crore nett higher than any other Hindi film. Last year, CHHAAVA did 31 crore nett and SAIYAARA did 16 crore nett and these were the next best after DHURANDHAR.

This Friday, there are a few films releasing but they are only competing among themselves while DHURANDHAR will be running its own race and owning this week also. STREE 2 holds the seventh week record and no doubt DHURANDHAR will smash this record.
