Rahu Ketu’s trailer wasn’t impressive, but since it came from the writer of Fukrey and also starred the two actors from the same series, one does expect at least some funny moments here and there. But shockingly, there’s not a single joke in the film’s run time of 140 minutes that’ll make viewers laugh. On paper, the concept must have sounded exciting, but execution wise, the makers make a mess. Even the concept of Rahu Ketu is badly handled. Songs are also poor. The only saving grace is that the performances are sincere. Varun Sharma is adorable as always, especially in such roles. Pulkit Samrat also puts his best foot forward. Shalini Pandey makes the film bearable; her styling is impressive as well. Chunky Panday, as the dreaded Israeli gangster Mordechai, could have contributed so much to the film. Sadly, he is let down by the writing. Piyush Mishra (Foofa), Amit Sial (Deepak Sharma), Manu Rishi Chadha (Churu Lal Sharma) and Sumit Gulati (Bansi) lend able support. Charu Shankar (Sundari) is okay. All in all, Rahu Ketu is one of the worst films of Bollywood.
